  • I see what you mean now. Really using the hand as a "rope guide". These do sound very good and I have never rung on them. Go quite close to them each week on the way to Truro. Would like to get a quarter peal on them.

  • @kernowoggie yes that would be nice. these are a good peal of eight, little bit lumpy but for a 22 cwt eight it would be lol but no very nice and pleasent.

  • Hmm. Is this classed as a bad habbit down there?

  • it is at some towers

  • Not many people do it on this vid?? Or was it you were taught like that?

  • Do what

  • Slide the rope through?

  • At many rural towers, people slide their hand through the rope. It's not common practice but (like the rest of the country) you are more likely to find it in rural towers.

  • Ah. Thanks! : )

  • No I was taught to slide through

  • sound nice don't they?

  • @1BODGER95 the greese nipples have just been changed. looking forward to trying them out lol

  • @pal05pmajor3

see... I could have taken that the wrong way!! ;) LOL

  • oh ha ha ooarr lol sorry couldnt resist

  • you can fall asleep on these.

  • @1BODGER95 sounds a little bit like east burgholt, or how ever you spell it, doesnt it?

  • when i go to st wenn or roche I get moaned at if i dnt slide

  • @pal05pmajor3 tell me, what do you mean by "slide"?

  • @kernowoggie run the rope up through your hand from the sally

  • At some towers but after that outing, lelant and crowan were really thick ropes so from now on I ring like this

  • god these were some hard work throwing them round as a five lol. 22 cwt tenor five, but geat fun, these are very good bells.

  • Is that a pile of stays on the floor?

  • yes they are

  • yh much better isn't it? oh right, shall have to try that, thanks !

  • Wow, that sounds great. New Camera?

The tenor is a fine bell isn't it!

    I don't know if you know, but there is a Queens on 5. It's: 2 4 1 3 5.

    Anyway, great vid! =]

  • it really doesn't feel right, ringing the back five with a tenor that weighs over a ton, because when ringing five you have to pull in a bit it makes the bells very hard work

  • True, but the sound at the end of it is terrific aint it!

  • yh they sound lovely
