Notice that Charlie Chan is played by a white guy, while his goofy son is played by an actual Chinese actor. In addition, Charlie Chan is treated favorably in 1946 because he is Chinese (and China was our ally in WWII).
hmm, I thought I had all the Monogram Chan films. I have Chinese Cat, The Jade Mask, The Scarlet Clue, Meeting at Midnight, Charlie Chan in the Secret Service and The Shanghai Cobra. I didn't know there were more. I have to check out your site to find out about more. I also would like to see the Roland Winters movie that had both number 1 and 2 sons in it. That would indeed be cool to see Keye Luke and Sen Yung onscreen together.

Did the Charlie Chan character ever do any martial arts (presumably of the chop on the shoulder variety) in his adventures?
