  • That is a one and a half inch thick shell!? That is one thick-ass shell, but it sounds amazing none the less.

  • Oh yeah, that snare sounds great. I'm in the process of making a Bubinga snare with maple strips - I hope it sounds as nice as your Purpleheart & Ash stave snare.

  • Your drums, especially the tom-toms, sound beautiful.

  • It sounds awesome, But to me it would sound loads better if you backed it off some.

  • beautiful drum man, im making a stave drum for my final year of school and i was wondering how u glue the staves together? did u use a strap clamp? did u use some sort of jig in the middler to keep it all together?

any tips or hints would awsome.

theres multiple ways of doing it, you can make a jig that fits around the outside to give even tension, or you can use a strap clamp.

its not nescesary but if you want you can make an inside piece to keep everything circular.

  • @666AHEAD666 Go to drumshed.org......TONS of info on drum building!!!
