Another thing, from the lighting it does look like cedar shavings and I'm not sure why. I always have the shavings that are smaller than that but that's just how it looks.
My Hedgie by the way is at least 6 years old and still going strong. Living very long for a Hedgehog.
ok, sorry if I'm wrong but those totally look like cedar shavings/chips for bedding.. maybe it's the light.. anyways, IF IT IS, get rid of them ASAP, they're pretty harmful to small animals
