awakening: 20 hours of game play for a single playthrough

origins: 120 hours of gameplay for 1 playthrough

@limitsora69 origins was not 120 hours..................I played on nightmare 96% of the map and did all side quests (and all DLC) did it all in 62 hours.......stfu (single play-through like you said) however awakening was in fact around 20-25 hours if you saved before going to war and did both the vigil and the city then its around 25 hours.

@retro9Anime yep the whole awakening was about 20-25 hours, about 1/4 of the original Dragon age offered. not really worth 40 dollars. but it did take me 120 hours on my 2nd play through finding all the quests, doing every DLC

@nazman30 Anyone who has played the original Dragon Age: Origins knows what is happening here, but I'll explain it here. What the guy says is the "motto" of Grey Wardens. Thesame time, various monsters, including darkspawn and a dragon, are shown. All these encounters are ofc in DA: Awakening.

@Xloub erm, that's because EA didn't made it? this game is made by Bioware, THEY are the geniuses behind it's epicness, EA is nothing more than the Distributor.

much the same way as Eidos for example didn't made the "hitman" franchise, they just distributed it, it was IO interactive who made "hitman"

just finished this one with a new character.must admit,two handed skills are far more powerful.Sentinel armor makes the charater look like a dark knight,even the sword 'vigilance' is superbly done.They should line up more expansions.

@thomashigginson - "Best ever" is like giving someone the title Mr. or Mrs. Universe and who is to say we're alone in this Universe. Again, the graphics are cool, but so are the graphics and special effects of Avatar and the movie still didn't make it for me as the storyline was way too predictable. I need to see and feel more of the randomness and quirkiness of "real" role-playing games before I can give these online RPG games the two thumbs up. Don't get me wrong I do like computer games :-)

youre statement is not very true. EA has multiple development teams under there belt. EA canada is an example. the thing is. is that EA excels at buying smaller companies like you said. Some of these companies when they are purchased gain resources that they couldnt have gotten in the first place. like a marketing team and voice actors which are the two most important aspects in pubilshing. Yes EA may seem evil but for third party devs they see a well of deep and important resources.

If you have an xbox live account, you can purchase this game for 3200 microsoft points which is the equivalent of £29.99. This game is very good quality and is much more pleasing than the first Dragon Age! If you take your time over this game and do most of the quests, this will take almost twenty hours of playing time! This is a must buy for any Dragon Age fans or any RPG fans. WARNING: This game is very addicting. On the downside, none of the DLC'S work apart from Blood Dragon armour.

If your in the Uk and u got xbox live, you can download it for 3200 points which is £29.99 which is quite cheap for a game of this quality. This is a very good game and is much better than the normal Dragon Age. This is a MUST buy for any dragon age fan or RPG fan! However I must warn you, this game is very addicting and if u take your time and do all the uests it is about 20hrs of gamplay, but if you rush this game it is about 6hrs. AND NO, IT IS NOT GLITCHY!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is an expansion, not a stand alone game, do not expect it to come close to Origins and you will not be disappointed. Although I really wanted more of the characters I spent developing from the original present for this, not just Oggy. Also Soldier's Peak (DLC) skills do not seem to work in this expansion.

Uh screw you. I actually liked Origins. Nothing wrong with a good FPS but Awakening was just shitty. Buggy as hell, didn't move the main plot by anything and a shitty epilogue slide.

I'll save every time and effort in playing the game: You stab a crazy broodmother in the face. The end. Yes that's literally right before the credits. >_>

I really wanted some of the other characters to return, but at least recurring is fine. I heard that some will stay according to decisions made in DAO if you synced your character into DAOA. Seems to be a really great expansion that really exceeds any expansion expectations. DAO = Truly masterful RPG.
