Unlike Nietzsche's Zarathustra, I didn't come down from a lofty place of enlightenment. Generally, my videos are designed to cast light into some corner that hides a lie. I don't normally have an agenda beyond that.
I want people to understand that corporations are government ... literally.
I would like government to be more local and more transparent and I would like for it to serve people, not its corporate self.
The cost of govt should be burdened by interest and corp profitability.
Except governments help define what counts as profitable by controlling the money supply, paying subsidies, imposing taxes, and passing legislation that is nearly unlimited in its ability to enervate or energize different sectors.
Also, they have a perverse level of control over the populace. Imagine a company that could imprison you or even execute you because it decides you're a terrorist and you don't have its best interests at heart.
i really don't get why would corporate America want to bankrupt their consumers just seem like bad busyness, even a 3 year old would understand that this is not productive. I also agree on your point on how many are overpaid why shouldn't an Auto mechanic that loves his job be paid millions same as some basketball player.
Corporations, directed by humans, are just doing what they must, they are maximizing profitability for shareholders. They plan one fiscal quarter at a time. The long-sighted ones may plan a year or maybe even two to three years. But always the most current quarter is the only one that matters.
Why would anyone in corporate leadership care about planting trees?
The retirement plans are to make those currently employed feel good. Nobody counts the bodies that don't last to retirement..
What? Don't you mean 99%? One of my problems is that I think I see the problems but I don't see the solutions. We are social animals and we need to be able to do things collectively to better our own condition. But it just seems like the people we elect to act on our behalf are either morally bankrupt, hopelessly stupid, or powerless to move the others in a humane way.
i personally never blame the leaders, because all the shit they do can be stooped by simply making our opinions public but sadly when a minority does it in a Capitalistic country is easy to ignore, the people are the government! its about time that everyone is reminded of that
I think we agree that until the herd moves from it's blissful state of ignorance and demand that government leaders serve real people ahead of fictional business corporations we are stuck with the racket.
But, I will still blame the leaders because they are the representatives of the people and they get a paycheck to take the blame for and on behalf of the morons that elect them.
Double, triple, quadrouple taxation. Remember, the various taxes levied on business are ALWAYS passed on to shareholders in lower dividends (much of the stock is held by retirement funds), employees in lower wages and consumers in higher priced goods and services.
Income tax, fines, licence fees, inspection fees, permits, sales tax, regulatory compliance costs, call it what you want, the tax is passed on to us at the bottom of the food chain.
So, how much SHOULD it cost?
What's a better system?

Don't forget the double taxation that many corporations have to deal with.
