@evnhptmnn like huey says, if you hit a part it will release a data, but if you dont hit the head or the legs, they will be able to be collected, remember, dont destroy the head !

@evnhptmnn yes, in example if you want obtain the head you have to hit the legs, motor, weapons but you have to left the head without damage and in the end of the mission you will obtain it, its hard but its possible

@evnhptmnn when i see that letters i always remember ferrum, cuprum, argentum, aurum, platinum, if you want to obtain the appropriate data you have to hit the part of the mecha (the 3 of each model) and it will be unlocked

@freakynoobz REX and ZEKE are two TOTALLY different Metal Gears. Their overall design is similar, yes, but ZEKE is faster, more agile, and has several attacks that REX did that are far more effective due to aforementioned speed. You also need to realize that Big Boss was "KILLED" by Solid Snake ten years before REX was even built. Konami would not make a game with such a massive plot-stream hole. :/

@invisibleman240 I own MGS4 and have watched every single cutscene RELIGIOUSLY. REX may have had a similar design to ZEKE, but it was not directly ZEKE-->REX like you all seem to think it is. If that WERE the case, then Big Boss and company would have gone straight to REX instead of using Metal Gear TX-55 and Metal Gear D. I might be overlooking a few details, but it doesn't take a bipedal nuclear-armed tank scientist to see this. :/

@Gargola510 Big Boss was set on fire and subsequently burned to death. Don't even reference MGS4's timeline; at the end of MG2:SS, Big Boss is dead. D-E-A-D, dead. The concept of him coming back at MGS4 wasn't even made yet. And technically, he was in a comatose/vegetative/stasis for years, therefore, mentally and almost physically dead. And even ignoring that for a moment, this isn't a about Big Boss being alive or dead; it's me telling these guys that ZEKE and REX having nothing in common. :/

When MG2:SS was first released on the MSX-2, I highly doubt that the MG team thought fifteen years into the future and said "let's bring Big Boss back at the end of MGS4." @Dracula9AntiChapel MGS3 (forgot name) the scientist that you meet up with that is all up for America and basically hates his mother land (Might be wrong haven't played MGS3 in a long time) had the REX model in his office and had the plans to REX which if I remember right was sent to Otacons dad (or grandfather again sorry) aka. Huey Emmeric (If I miss spell sorry) which might lead to making ZEKE a beta of REX and since Outer Haven was destroyed ZEKE dies and REX dosn't have the same features..
