  • How would they survive if it was like 95 degrees? If they think that -40 is fine.

  • ..The kids are very cute

  • Dam they are lucky, here in florida if it gets 40 degress or lower which it has and is currently we have to stay inside during P.E. and play volleyball at our school

  • This shows the differance between places like this in Siberia and the UK. The kids just get on with their days of going to school and people out shopping when its -70 degrees. In Britian we get a little snow and so-called "Arctic conditions" of barely -5 at the most and the country grinds to a halt! everyone complains about the cold and the snow, the newspapers print headlines "Chaos in Britian!" "New Ice Age hits the UK!" Its pathetic the way Britian exagerrate the cold weather.

  • @legendkiller2004 Ah you know the real reason mate. It's so we can all "get out of the cold" for a few pints.

"What's that love? Nah I can't make it home. Me and me mates got caught in the minus five deep freeze. Good thing we were passing by the pub though, so we're going to have to wait it out here till it's safe to come home".

  • obviously they looks mongol/asian because they are not russians

there are a lot of nationalities in Russia in Syberia so they are native syberian people - Yakuts

  • ok so where is sibiria? is it a country or city?

  • haha people wear coats when it reaches 15C in dubai.

  • The coldest place on earth is Antarctica, the coldest recorded temprature ever was - 89.6.

  • @bartsimpson67543 F yes - not C,

  • according to this i'm mad!

  • It would be a good place during the long winter to test a space suit for a future Mars expedition.

  • Until it gets to minus 40 its absolute fine?

haha and i think its cold in Sweden with 25 degrees xD

  • they put the chickens into the freezer to defrost them..

  • @fairhillnorrie hahahahha i laugh hard with your comment!

  • I'm from Saskatchewan [western Canada], and as I type this, it's -37, and it's only the end of November!

This town is quite a bit colder, but I could easily adapt to the temperature. I do like cold, it's just the snow i hate.

These people should come here on holidays, I'll bet they'd go hang out on the beach in the "nice warm weather" while everyone else is struggling to start their frozen cars haha

  • @wilkes85 i love snow...i am from saudi arabia btw...so the essence really is...no extream is good...

  • It's like they have anti-freeze genetically infused in their blood or something?

I can't even imagine such cold.

  • idiots. Russia has a population of more than 180 nations and not all European appearance. This Ojmjakon. The coldest inhabited part of the land.

  • Also, those kids look mongolian/asian, not Russian

  • @Icix1 Thats probably because this place was "FOUNDED BY MONGOLS AND GENGHIS KHAN"... It's called Siberia

  • Holy shit -40 C or F ?

  • @krystian1333

Celsius, they don't use Fahrenheit in Europe

  • @krystian1333 same thing

  • @krystian1333 - 40 c

  • tipo eschimesi tutti imesi

  • Why are they all japanese?

  • didn't you tard-nuggets listen to the narrative? the town was founded by mongols. mongols are an asiatic people.

  • @movitmovit when i was going to school . it was europeid, negroid , mongoloid .= 3 basic human races. so yeah mongoloid=asiatic.

  • @iCanMakeComents Its bacause long ago many asians wondered there a long ago. Eskimos and native americans are also asians by origin.

  • @iCanMakeComents yu realize not all of russia is in europe? it is more in asia then europe... the russians everyone thinks of are the european stereotypical ones.

  • try taking a piss outside.. ahahaha

  • Internets?

  • C'est impressionnant comme les hommes s'habituent aux divers climats même les plus extrêmes!!!

Les gens y ont l'air tout à fait habituer sur la vidéo!!!

  • The coldest place in Earth is Vostok Station, Antarctica. North hemisphere is very warm and hot.

  • Oymyakon isn't the coldest place on Earth, it's the coldest INHABITED place on Earth.

  • i hate the cold

  • -71.2° wow that cold !! i couldn't live there..

  • @Raul20881 Would be strange the same in kelvin...

  • So why was this on the news?

  • o only -31 hahah love it

  • I remember seeing a more in-depth documentary on Oymyakon on PBS. What on earth do those people do for a living? Mining perhaps?

    3:08 Very well said.

  • I would love to live there

  • diesel would never work in such cold. never start

  • @12valvepower1 actually it works fine. all the trucks driving in Alaska use diesel. you just gotto adapt the fuel mix. but no, "normal dielsel" will freeze at about -22 or something.

  • The coldest temperature I ever experienced was -31 ;/ And it was in Poland.

I hope someday I'm gonna go there and experience -60 ;D

  • i want to procreate with one of its womans so my sons will be strong and healty

  • Ever thought of hosting an AFC Championship?

  • I lived near that place. Indeed, -40 was a normal temperature becouse sometimes it was -55 and even -60. It was cold, but everybody is dressing good fur coats and many clothes, and nobody is walking on streets for hours (usually walks from house to a school or to a workplace).

  • here in Finland the coldness record is from year 1999 -51,5 celsius.

  • Якуты-не монголы!

  • The coldest place on Earth is actually my girlfriend's heart.

  • @killie65 and she's still your girlfriend?

  • @ub3raddict he mean her pussy not heart!

  • @killie65 my ex's now.... lol cold bitch, put my heart through a blender

  • @killie65 LOL all 39 of you all are to mean.now thats funny and im a woman.

  • @killie65 I say the same! :)

  • @killie65 I would say no....it's not your girlfirend's heart that is the coldest place on earth. My hubby probably has her beat...by a long shot.

Anyway, I am right there with ya. So sorry. :(

  • @killie65 I though my girlfriend's ass XD

  • forever alone

  • Sometimes the temperatures there are falling up to -60 C!!!!!We are talking about the coldest place in al over the world (except Antarctica,it is said that there the temperature oftesn falls up to -80 C,the record is -89 C)!!!!

  • weirdos. ok til -40? WTF? even in Canada thats crazy! AHH

  • I live in duluth man for a bunch of years we were the coldest city in the continental US

  • lowest temperature in my city is 13ªC ... lol... i'll have this vid on mind when the winter comes and i won't want waking up... lol

  • You can spray water from a really high place and it`ll be instant powder snow.

    You can freeze EVERYTHING

  • I love this cold weathers, these cold blue and pure skies, this crystal silence. Here in Quebec, it's not bad (commonly between -10 and -30°C in winter, sometimes -40 to -45°C here exceptionnaly), but nothing to do with eastern Siberian colds !

  • no its only 51-57F i guess cause antartica has more currents that pass warm currents down and warm air just a tiny bit

  • i know how it is at -37 degrees C, it drag out all your energy, i can't imagine how it feels at -60C.

    verry good video :)

  • I think he has to rewrite the title as coldest inhabited place on the earth for no one is established all the year in Antartica. There's only scientists

  • Scientists, and some other people too. Arctic explorers among other workers.

  • just proves that people can adopt to almost any condition given a chance to fight for survival.

  • Fake what , you fucking idiot???

  • @LibertadorXXL fuck you.

  • @LibertadorXXL jaja, que maestro,

    fakeeeee

  • Here in Los Angeles it gonna be 51 degrees F. Tonight. That's cold. don't care what anybody says.

  • what the fuck is with this guy's negative comments? everything is negative. there are other people in this world who are used to different things. "barely livable"? come on.

  • this man has no idea of cold when he says that -30 C is cold and drains you fast. What is he talking about ? he just has no experience. For him it may drain him ..what a lame duck

  • your expedition must have had a very reliable car. whats better, a diesel car or a petrol one in this really cold climate???

  • Petrol is better! but for Russian car it's a little bit complicated,, you need a small old truck which was made specially for military issue

  • @Goga1977 diesel is stubborn in cold

  • Diesel becomes too thick to pump at extreme cold temperatures. I've even read of people lighting a fire under their fuel tank to warm diesel, to start an engine.

  • a petrol one

  • @zdrastvutye Diesel fuel Gelss up unless you put special fluids with it.

  • @zdrastvutye He used an old UAZ van.

  • @matt92hun i guess that "UAZ" is spelt wrong, i searched for "liaz" in google and got some results. i know this from the german democratic republic.

  • @zdrastvutye UAZ 3903

  • @matt92hun just try "liaz" in google.

  • @zdrastvutye YA3 van is best. or KPA3 truck.

  • The coldest its ever been here was -35F and that was not that bad. When it gets that cold it feels really dry outside but its not unbearable. It's not very safe to be in though lol.

  • God, I thought the -15c we had here recently was grim: These people would probably think that was warm:-)))))

  • the cold wouldn't bother me there, it's the humidty that would drive me out of that place.

  • permanently?? on antartica right?? but they don;t have a schools there etc....

  • @russianfinn yeah, they have! ill give you the links so you can read

  • hmmmm

  • Should edit the information of the video. It's not the coldest place on earth, but the coldest "city". The coldest place on earth is the scientist base Vostok on Antarctica. In 1983 the temerature were measured to -89 C there.

  • it is the coldest permanently inhabited spot on earth, to be exact.

but thats statistics only. read about it, never saw pics, so very happy with this. thanks!

and, it feeds the desire to go there...

  • You're right that this is not the coldest place on earth merely the coldest city in the world, but in fact the coldest place on earth is not Vostok on Antartica (which is the coldest permanently inhabited place on earth) it is a place inaccessable to humans thus far, known as Ridge A, we only know this as scientists were researching it for the best place for an observatory as the air is so calm there that they have no weather fronts and a medium sized telescope would get the results of a huge 1

  • Oh and the temperature at Ridge A was recorded at -94c.

  • No it wasn't

  • Sorry it was a typo it's ment to say -94F.

  • No mams, y yo con los guantes para frío y mis manos heladas a 10°C aparte con mi bufanda acá en Monterrey, y el sr. solo con una chamarra y como si nada.

  • That's Freakin' Cold Dawg! XD

  • damn I thought it was cold when it was 10F the other night here in Upstate SC... thats still like -10 or so Celsius.. I spent year in the mountains of korea when I was in the army and it once got to -45F -60 with windchill and omfg that was cold... we still ran a 10 mile battalion run! our hats were covered in ice from our breath!

  • o.0 damn

  • Sorry, ignore this. Meant to give the thumbs down to the insulting idiot below.

  • You moron, do you even understand what you're saying or even have any concept of what it might be like to have cancer? Idiot.

  • Damn, and I'm complaining that it's in the 30s in South Texas. :P

  • Yeah, but "Russia" is not only one country.

  • @lasse88 In what way is it not one country? Not meant as an insult, I really want to know :-)

  • @aajohan75 i mean technically/officially it is one country. But Russia is almost a continent, and therefore its not weird that the people are so unlike each other. And before Russia there was different countries/peoples etc. Not meant as an insult here either. Bye :)

  • when that little kid says he is not afraid of cold only dogs.... I bet they got some scary dogs that live in that area...

  • Its really cold in Norway atm, in Røros it was -41 C and it was -25 C in Oslo! It haven't been this cold in 20 years.

  • same here in Sweden!

  • SMILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • in Ottawa 2000 was -52 coldest place on the Earth of course just one day.

  • Comment removed

  • Vostok, Antarctica has the coldest recorded temp. of -120 below zero. WOW!

  • -120°F, not °C

  • -432868759637687898797897698698

  • Nice town!

  • @mecidlo

nice? jajaj that is not nice, it is awful

I live in south america and i use to complain about the high temperatures......but now i will probably have a cold nightmare tonight.

  • tomasopazo: Maybe, but I like winter! Real winter.

  • coldest iveever felt here in ontario is -41C , with windchill, -58C. that sucked. -31C, I worked outside for 2 hours loading turcks in that. Its cold untill you get the blood flowing, than its fine.

  • So, if you happen to stumble over some Youtube-clips from Siberia with thermometers showing below -60 C, take that with a pinch of salt! Those readings could also be faked. If you e.g. dip the thermometer in alcohol first, it will read much lower. One example on Youtube which probably is faked is a clip with a German TV team. When they were there it never got below -50 C. This according to the locals who remembered them.

  • Nowadays -60 C is very rare in Siberia; it happens on average once in three years and then for only a day or two. This is the information I got from sober locals in Verkhoyansk, Tomtor and Oymyakon. Many of them tend to exaggerate after a few vodkas, though, and then you can here all kinds of reports about -65,-70,-80 etc. I also noticed that some local cheap thermometers are optimistical, showing e.g. -55 C when it was -50 C on a professional thermometer.

  • COOL video! -Merry christmas to all the Russians, keep your heads cold and your hearts warm. :-)

  • The coldest place in Canada was in Snag at -64°C.

  • I live in Slovakia and the coldest temp. ever here was -41°C in year 1929 :)

it's just perfect for lying outside in swimsuit, compared to some others here...

  • -40 - нормально? По - моему, хорошо, когда температура где - то до -34. Тогда действительно нормально. Но -40... Благо живу в Подмосковье, с такой отметкой ещё не встречалась
