I have loved this music since the moment I first heard it (I have the original release on vinyl), but with all that I have been researching about Annunaki/ancient ET presence -- and influence -- I've seen here and many, many places elsewhere, I now have some serious doubts about the purpose of "Olias", who it's meant for, what it speaks of, and what it means.

@WWYSTAA Jon is a deeply spiritual person, & I'm sure he never meant any dark malevolent intent in the creation of this extraordinary & beautifully enrapturing music. If you don't simply enjoy this masterpiece for what it is, I'm afraid your closing yourself to its wondrous nature, & basically selling yourself short. Olias is a fantastical story to begin with, & of course exhibits similarities with our own cultures & beliefs. Whether they be good or bad.. well that's mystery's best kept secret.

@sirGiedion Of course I want to believe you're right. I'm a rather deeply spiritual person myself -- that's why the reptilian "hiss" and the repeated refrain "to the devil" concern me somewhat. I came back to this amazing album from love of the memory of it, and perhaps have discovered something -- good or bad? -- that I hadn't paid attention to when first I heard it all those years ago. I love a mystery, but I don't like being duped, and I long to know the meaning of what I give my love to.

@vakqzCL: I echo all of saurian11's enthusiasm for a dvd of Olias! Whatever is holding you up, I bet you could put out a request on your homepage for help with what you need, and some of the friends/fans you've made here on youtube might be able to help. So much information can be stored on a dvd.....you could even add a bunch of other of your vids. (Whatever you chose would be fine by me, but I vote for Toltec...) I would gladly pay 20 bucks or more for such a dvd!

@cyyyggnus Well, the hold up was related to a trigger (one lousy bit, I am sure) that forces the DVD to go to the next track rather than going back to the menu after each track is played. The goal is that the viewer be able to start and play through or watch a single track. With Olias it is 100% necessary to watch through, and not keep jumping back to the menu. I fought with it for a long time, even getting software that allows menu editing, I just could not find the value that needed to be set.

@saurian11 I did work on a full length DVD for Voiceprint Records a year or so ago. I am no DVD menu expert, so it never got completed. There were some menu related issues with it. Otherwise it was complete. I still have the prototypes.

@vzqk50CL OH MANNNN!!! That's EXCELLENT news!!!! Like I said before, if It ever becomes available on DVD, I want IT!!!! Even as a teenager, when I bought this album in 1976, I've always felt that it would be so cool to have visuals go along to this music, Be it animation or whatever, and you have brought us JA fans as close to that as possible!!! A huge THANK YOU for that!!!!!
