i use normal scissors when im doing things like that . but i did find something thats cheap and easy when your are doing a small portion of your hair . they are like eyebrow razor things , idk what they are called but they work good , and they are cheap .

@Enshov straighten them, hold that little bit off hair in the straightners untill you hear a sizzle kindoff noise if you dont hear the noise then dont put that bit of hair in the straightners for long coz you will set your hair on fire xD It works for mee!!

@Enshov Blowdry them in a downward motion, and comb them down while you blowdry ;) When you get them to stay down, you can straighten them, but don't straighten all the way up to the roots. you might mess it up again x)

Actually you don't need to make a V if you want the swoop on either side. i've had side swept bangs for years, I've always had my bangs cut straight across. I just let them lay where they want when they're drying. This way I have a lot of different styles I can choose from for my bangs.
