  • I just bought my 19 year old son one of these as i've 4 myself, a focus sport, ST and RS and Zetec. Safest car i've ever been in.

  • this is nicer than 08 model

  • epic car, me, my brother, my fiancee was on our way back from a rave at 2am on the m1 (its very dark) (my 70 odd y.o granddad was driving), some douche high as a kite and stoned pitted a volvo and spun himself out, the prick was in the middle of the motorway side on, (no lights) he bailed, we hit his car (in our focus) at 70+ mph his car shot off and twatted him, we span 5 times and slammed into the guardrail, we survived, thanks to my granddads epic driving and this car, get one !!!

  • me salve al cocar contra un arbol en la puerta del conductor gracias a que mi coche era un focus st, ya que esta mas reforzado que un focus normal.

    GRACIAS focus st

  • Not good you guys that is amazing!! you need to see other crash tests! the windows break open and explode which can cause major injuries. This car just cracked a little. That side one is really good i mean the almost cut that thing in half and no breaking. This is one of the top rated crash test cars u guys!

  • dont drive sideways and il be ok

  • @sunnysuff what?

  • 0:31 - 0:35 , not good?

  • no very good

  • not good at all, almost not "ok" even..

  • The test is desinged to test the surtain airbags. Nearly all the cars tested that way crumple like that

  • @WeAllGonnaDieAlive no, do you not know anything?

this was the safest car for the years 2003-2006!

  • unless you slide sideways into a traffic light pole or an electricity pole its not going to crumple like that, the point of impact on the side of the car is focused. If another cars was to hit the focus side on the force and kinetic enegery of the crash would be spread out not focused onto one point only a heavily strengthened chassis would decrease the effects, but doing that would make it weigh a heap more

  • @jbizznator well yes that being true, i nearly did that with my focus wagon back in november, only had the car 2 weeks, there are things called trees in the country, you city slickers might not have them

  • yes, it's pretty good

  • wow.

  • thats not xr5 that just a focus

  • lol ne of u saying it a shit car actually got 1??

  • Isn't it ironic that this car is not "proven safe" so it can't be sold in the US, but you can still buy a new focus on the old platform. Even though it does worse in tests it is "proven safe."

  • ouch. The pole test didnt look too good. Well, no cars really would do well on those...

  • Side impacts are never good. This car handles it well unlike some other ones.

  • No, side impacts on some cars are survivable, on GOOD cars.

  • if you mean mercedes bmw audi "good cars", i want to add something here. I wathed all the videos in the ncap's website and bmw and mercedes dissapointed me.

Only cars which was good at pool test were, a few mercedes models, most audi models, golf and corolla. Also golf and corolla are cheap cars btw.

  • Right... Look at the crash tests of American cars, you will be VERY impressed.

  • Euro tests are of higher standard ;)

Old Audi's are absolutely horrifying to look at in crash tests.

  • true

  • great safe car

  • Daaaaaaaaaaaamn!
