  • can proloterapy heal a torn meniscus, before menistectomy ?

  • @MiguelTugask8 Yes it responds well in the cases we've seen. In our opinion, we feel very strongly, based on extensive research on the long term effects of removing the meniscus, that a person should seek a prolotherapy evaluation first.

  • i had about 30% of my meniscus removed in 2005, but still feel a lot of pain and swelling after walking for a long time, and running and jumping is almost impossible. will prolotherapy work for me even after having part of my meniscus removed?

  • @TitoYuca Thanks for the question. Yes, we have successfully treated many patients with pain after a partial meniscectomy. Prolotherapy is regenerative medicine and can help the rest of the knee to stabilize and compensate for lack of meniscus. The more meniscus that is removed, the higher risk of early arthritis, and the more a person needs a Prolo evaluation in our opinion. : ) Wish you the best. Feel free to email us directly to discuss your case further.
