the city council votes to allow the mall to be built but most of the councilmembers is black,see.It's like one minority group trumps the other and it just ain't right.Emeryville sucks anyway,all those stupid stores.

Just because the site was an amusement park from 1870-1924, and a toxic industrial site from 1924-1999, and just because the site wasn't respected in the past, THE CITY SHOULD HAVE RESPECTED IT IN 2001 AND NOT BUILD A MALL OVER TOP OF IT!!

Or, a respectful thing to do would have been to leave the area of the sacred mound, 350 feet in diameter, as a sacred place to honour the ancestors! Shame on Emeryville!!
