  • The only way to actually get rid of cherry eye is to see your veterinarian. Surgical removal of the gland is a bad idea so most veterinarians offer two other surgical solutions. The simplest of these two procedures is having your veterinarian place a permanent stitch which will hold the gland in the proper place. If your dog develops cherry eye, discussing solutions with your veterinarian would be your best option.

  • This is only temporary...

  • lol, bullshit, this does not make it go away.

  • Ahhhh you are the man! I was worried for a min my frenchie got one for the first time and I was about to panic ;-P

  • thanks man(: my boston bully gets them ALL the time..lmao

  • YOUR A JERK !

  • ok.....that is not the way to make a cherry eye go away. it needs to be removed. not pushed back down cause it will just keep popping up. they need to have it surgically removed. my mother in law breeds english bulldogs and she sends all the cherry eye cases to the vet. :)

  • @6651customs actually removing that gland will cause the dogs eye to get dry as that gland produces 30% of the tears to keep the eyes moist. Removing the cherry eye is not recommended by alot of vets as it can cause this dry eye and is very painful for the dog. it may also lead to blindness aswell. the cherry eye is jus a gland thats out of place, it dsnt bother the dog as much as it bothers the owner. its just ugly to look at. so what hes doing is actually ok

  • @6651customs they should not be removed, that will cause dry eye

  • Thank you! I really needed this to help with my bully!

  • This isn't actually fixing it, it will keep happening unless they have surgery, though surgery IS NOT a good idea for most english bulldogs.

  • Just tried it on my bully, and it worked perfectly! Took more then 2 tries but it was because my bully didn't stand still and it popped out in 2 seconds. But after another couple of goes it didn't come back.

  • wow that was easy

but didnt work for me, my bulldog has it on both eyes, do you use pressure when pushing in? cuz i was too scared to do that, i was just massaging it in

    thanks

  • Wow that simple procedure worked perfectly...thank you SO MUCH !

My puppy developed the "cherry eye" effect & I searched the internet only to find UPSETTING articles about expensive vet procedures and REMOVING the tear ducts & then your dog would have DRY EYE for the rest of its life.

I followed your easy procedure and her eye is now PERFECT...Bless your heart for posting this helpful video on You Tube !!

  • such a beautifull bulldog.
