#1 - yes, he is in a tunnel , for most of NYC subway hallways are somewhat of a tunnel.

#2 - sound effects are nothing more but a tool, as much of a tool as bow (in this case)

#3 - in this case it's not as much as a technical qualities of a performer , but a difference in approach to the Violin Concept.

If you are to tell me, that his technique is not perfect, i will not argue, but you can not say that he's not original. the rest is a meter of taste.
