@kylieprincess496 remember to be in character all the time. Tracy is a revolutionary girl for the year she's living. She's a little shy in school, but when she is surrounded by her family/friends she is an exploding dancing bomb ^^

So I met the original dynamite Judine the woman they named the dynamite after because she came to our hairspray performance yesturday April 2 and it was amazing!! her son is so cute!

I have an audition for edna next week my drama teacher has told me im the prefered for the part but she wants me to audition so its fair and anyone else who wants to play her will have a chance i hope i get edna im already researching different portrailas of her.. i didnt like travoltas as much as i love him in grease. so im now looking at all the portrails and trying to create one in my own style but use the others as inspiration :)

@PatrickHSF pfff and you haven't done one...when I performed Hairspray in my school I played Mr. Pinky, and I had to help Edna and Tracy on theri outfit changes!!! o.O I was soooo tired when the song finished that I couldn't even go out and dance the rest of it :S

I just downloaded his version of a couple of songs and it sounds like he's strangling himself and trying to sing at the same time - its really uncomfortable to listen to

- god knows how he did 8 shows a week without damaging his voice

John Travolta's film soundtrack is better - at least you can hear the words

Most of the drag queens who played Edna had a voice like this. It's common for husky men who smoke.
