  • Fantastic version of this song. So 'catchy'!! Stumbled on your videos by accident - So glad i did. I play this song on my guitar all the time, but you put me to shame!! AWESOME:)

  • alonzogarbanzo you are awesome!!!!!

  • Man that brought a tear to my eye wonderful version.Maybe because George Harrison is now gone . This is a great song and you really did it justice .BRAVO!

  • Yet another awesome one!

  • right on.

  • Wonderful cover, Alonzo. Great music and great video. Best wishes for 2009.

  • combining humor and actual musical talent. You rock dude!

  • Really great stuff. Wonder what video editor you are using.

  • Thank you, and it's mainly Final Cut Express, as I slowly get weaned from iMovie HD. I've just begun to understand some of the many things one can do with it.

  • Wow Mr. Castanares! These are amazing! I love the 12-string-o-rama. (My mom's got an old guild 12 string which is amazing) Anyways, I don't know if you remember me, my name is Britain, I would have been in your world history class in '03 ish? But regardless it's so cool to stumble across you here, the videos, mult-instruments everything is fantastic! Please do keep it up!

  • Longer ago than '03, methinks---I haven't even taught world history since '01! Thanks for the props, and yep, I do plan to keep at it. (Also, yep, them old Guild 12s are monsters!)

  • EXCELLENT COVER AND VIDEO!

  • Genius!

  • i thought that was an acoustic bass you were using starting at about the 1:00 mark, but it's not, is it?

it looks like you're using a standard acoustic to play bassline. am i right or completely wrong? probably the latter...

  • Good ears and eyes there. What you hear is a combination of the main 12-string's electric output duped and taken down an octave---plus a line being played on the second (closeup shots) 12, on which I've tuned the bottom 3 pairs down to A flat, E flat, A flat. That second 12's output is entirely electric---I didn't mike it.

  • By the way, I stopped posting the stereo URL, but you are listening in stereo, no? Just to remind folks:

add &fmt=18 to the URL and there you are.

  • this clenches it. you are THE MAN.

  • Wow. And to think THE MAN was the one I was always trying to hide from back in the day.

  • how's that for irony?

  • Thank's for that aint seen sun here for days!

  • alonzo

    thanks for the uplift.

    peace,

    rich

p.s. your work really show's terrific performance
