why not educating people and letting them understand their weaknesses and biases instead of letting institutions decide for them? I like prof Kanheman but I am fed up with the idea of a paternalistic state.
i understand what he is saying that arrogance (overconfidence) costs our downfall.. most people would just hate to lose than being too eager to win.. it's the small group of people who was so consumed in the idea of winning that costs the the majority dearly...

@terrywoodinc This is unrealistic. Who would pay for this extensive education? What about people whose capacity for learning is more limited?
