  • there is another thing this world should be attuned to, and that is supreme metal like this

  • was an amazing improvement over their debut album. loved this album, and hated the debut.

  • i like the band but the vocal patterns bug me

  • @ImmortalCadaver you mean vocal lines or vocal itself???

  • @IMBACHABRI the patterns, i love the sound of the growl

  • Love this song!

  • very crazy band, never listened to them so much, this is fucking good

  • Seriously one of the best death metal albums ever written.

  • is it me or is this song telling me to kill my mom?

  • 1:00 "SICKNESSSSSSSSSSS!" = Orgasmic. Luc Lemay was a sick-ass vocalist.

  • This is so bad.........

Howwwwwww long will i be SAVED from my disease?

  • I believe this song is about the brain disease Encephalitis.

  • This song makes me just feel so fucking great every time I listen to it!! Thanks for these fuckin' awesome post!!

  • Gorguts is music to expand your mind too. Very much so the canadian version of Suffocation with a much more weird broad influence to them.

  • this is the Canadian equivalent of Suffocation. You could tell they took a lot of inspiration from Breeding the Spawn on this album. Great shit, loved then and love it now!

  • Luc Lemays vocals/riffs are pretty amazing, this albums really letting me in on that!

  • This and Deicide fucking pwn

  • Judging by the cover-art (computer screens?) and lyrics this song is a hauntingly accurate death metal profecy of kids living in their chairs watching the computer screen as if they can't stop doing it. :P

Of course, I have no clue what it's actually about. About some bad disease I guess. :D

  • this cd was their best ever- classic.

  • still have this CD, awesome!

  • BRUTAL!!! These guys and Obituary are responsible for the heaviest music in the world.

No room for those generic deaht metal bands like Suicide Silence and Job for a Cowboy.

    This is the REAL DEAL.

  • yea this is some sick shit. thanks for the recommendation. im a big fan of death metal from the 90's like morbid angel an cannibal corpse

  • Yeah I like Cannibal Corpse. Tomb of the Mutilated was pretty awesome.

  • yes classic death metal!! man, i got this album the day it came out in 1993,17 years ago!! wow time flies!! old school ftw!!

  • @MK2WiseGuy Ugh I was only 5 when this album dropped; I constantly dream of going back in time and finding mint copies of original pressings of this album...

BAPHOMET - THE DEAD SHALL INHERIT

Just a few that you missed

  • Cool! I've heard 'em all but SEANCE - SALTRUBBED EYES. That cryptopsy for sure! Do you have any more information on SEANCE?

  • yea Seance is a Swedish death metal band who formed in 1990. Their debut, Fornever Laid to Rest was released in 1992 and is their most well known album. Saltrubbed Eyes is their 2nd album, which was released in 1993. Personally, I prefer it over their debut. Them Swedes really know how to do DM right!!

  • Sweet! I'll definitely check 'em out! The same era as Unleashed, Carnage, Dismember, Grave, and Entombed - all great bands.

  • GORGUTS - CONSIDERED DEAD

but i do love a very diverse selection from Van Halen to Slayer, Maiden, Tankard, Gamma Ray, Pantera, Carcass, even Jazz and Blues

  • @pastuiedada VAAAAAADEEEEEER

  • @pastuiedada !aH "You said, that you like van halen? Gamma ray? And even some jazz and blues? !hA. There is no other music,''Besides, Pure tech death, and dark dub step techno id..This is just kinda like a thrash to me..It needs to go to and fro through middle earth to metamorphosis .And learn to adapt to this new underground interworld..It is a highly mechanized race of Digital electronic, psychedelic, and cybernetic black tech metal..Its numbers are small, yet it rivals all of humanity

  • @cattleviech Ah, someone that listens to Macabre, that band is fucking awesome!

  • @VampireChoir check out Burn Your Flag

  • @VampireChoir

    Sarcofago. Is that death metal?

  • @tiglatpilesar9 death thrash metal more or less

  • @VampireChoir those are all great albums that every metalhead should listen to before they die!

  • @VampireChoir

Amazing list, love seeing my favorite Carcass album on there.

  • @VampireChoir MALVEOLENT CREATION - RETRIBUTION / GOREFEST - MINDLOSS / OBITUARY - SLOWLY WE ROT / NECROPHOBIC - THE NOCTURNAL SILENCE / POSSESSED - SEVEN CHURCHES / BENEDICTION - THE GRAND LEVELLER

  • @123rebel456 No forget Blessed are the sick , ole' brutal Truth early Deicide !

  • @123rebel456 We all knew when we put our filthy hand on the Retribution CD made by Malevolent Creation that the old world is dead. No more thrash metal, no metallica and slayer at all. It was a new beginning of a beautiful genre, called post 2000 brutal metal.

  • @VampireChoir you forgot Death,Broken Hope, Cannibal Corpse,Obituary..Etc... Death started it all Scream Bloody Gore

  • @Bogie00075 Thanks, I am well aware of these bands. Lest we forget BOLT THROWER - ...FOR VICTORY SAMAEL - CEREMONY OF OPPOSITES INCANTATION - THE FORSAKEN MOURNING OF ANGELIC ANGUISH MALEVOLENT CREATION - RETRIBUTION BRUJERIA - MATANDO GUEROS SEPULTURA - ARISE CRYPTOPSY - NONE SO VILE all 10/10 grade a death metal that is legit!!!

  • @Bogie00075 BROKEN HOPE - REPULSIVE CONCEPTION CANNIBAL CORPSE - TOMB OF THE MUTILATED OBITUARY - WORLD DEMISE

  • Awesome. Great freaking song. Death metal means...THE EROSION OF SANITY!!!! Hail Gorguts.

  • That's some pretty sick stuff, best canadian DM band IMO

  • @SyzygialMiscreancy yeah probably

  • @SyzygialMiscreancy I'd say it's a tie between these guys and Kataklysm.

  • @SyzygialMiscreancy Nice username. Hellwitch rules.

  • @SyzygialMiscreancy Have you heard Cryptopsy yet? That's the greatest Death Metal band from Canada AND of all time, in my opinion.

  • @CerebrumTranceStep But the turned to deathcore

  • @FirePower3006 That's actually a common misunderstanding. Cryptopsy doesn't exist anymore. Every since Lord Worm left the group with the adoption of the Screamo/Deathcore vocalist, they've officially been branded as Job for a Cryptopsy. I don't know what's going through Flo's head or why he let that happen to them, but I believe there's a reason for everything. Maybe something will happen in the near future.

  • @CerebrumTranceStep Yea there gonna keep making shitty deathcore/screamo and start wearing makeup and eyeliner then all turn gay

  • @CerebrumTranceStep id say gorguts and cryptopsy are about equal (in terms of back in the day sound thank god gorguts never too the job for a gorguts route)

  • @ChainsawJigsaw666 Well, I wouldn't say "equal" in all honesty. This is from 1993. If you listen to Cryptopsy's Blasphemy Made Flesh from 1994, it's just on an entire new level of Death Metal compared to this. The brutality and intensity on that record STILL exceeds anything I've ever head up to this day. Gorguts recorded their work in C sharp and nothing but guttural vocals. Cryptopsy's earliest work is in B standard with inhuman screams/gutturals. That shit is EPIC Death Metal.

  • @CerebrumTranceStep There were a ton of great releases in 94'. Mortal Throne Of Nazarene, The Ending Quest, To The Depths... In Degradation, Blasphemy Made Flesh (as you said), Solstice Of Oppression. 94' was a sick fuckin year.

  • @mkmoloch Agreed. Completely. Though I'm not familiar with a couple of those. I'll have to look them up!
