Second -hand electronics is a bad idea. Eventually they break down easy and then the dumping ground is near.

@kakompo I beg to differ!!! any equipment from the 1980's, with maintenance and proper care, will last way longer than anything made just last week!

do you have an idea how the quality of products and material have lowered in recent decades?

If you get an old, but good brand names from the past, chances are that it will last longer than the made in china toys of today.

@OBSysteme Well yes you do have a good point. But... when it comes to second hand electronics it's a bad idea. I wouldn't mind buying an old model car because the standard of quality in production was higher.

@kakompo Well, with electronics, One bad point I see it that older tech cost more electricity to run. On the other hand, they are more easy to repair because a human can easily repair-replace individual components in them.
