  • Skated there everyday when I lived in Ybor in '94.

  • That was excellent! =)

  • Wow....Born and raised in TPA in the 70's-80's-90's. I remember the bowl well. Actually got my ass beat at the bowl back in the 80's when we were all jumped one day when the Bro's took over the bowl for awhile...or tried to till the Plant High boys showed up for damage control....Actually had amnesia for a week. Thanks to whoever brought that chain....hahahaha.... the good ole days.

  • will this be for sale?

  • Now without the projects the soccer moms bring their little snot nose kids there, lol.

    Great vid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great documentary. As a skater from the 70's whose early skate memories revolve around concrete parks like the Bro Bowl, it is sad to see parks like this go away.

Long live Kona...long live Landsowne (Baltimore, MD 70s crete park)

  • So stoked on this you guys! Thanks for all of your hard work!

  • Thanks for posting your great documentary on the Bro Bowl for all to enjoy. This park and Kona in Jacksonville are the only two Florida parks that remain from the 70s. Hawaii may have the only other 70s park in the US. It's a national landmark that should be protected by the city of Tampa, the state of Florida, and respected by all. Note: One correction to the interviews here, there were a few skateparks built in the 1960s, but the 70s parks took it to a new level.
