  • Is this the whole piece?

  • amazing!

  • literally amazing compared to barry

  • I love it :)

That was my first Bach cantata in which I could sing.

At this time as an boy soprano:)

  • @maximiliane777 you should be an hero

  • @menkejo i don´t know. it was normal for me at the age of 9 years

  • I love the intro of this part. This cantata is like a really good book. It grabs your attention from the beginning, and keeps it there until the very end. <3

  • @Supersandwich72

Thanks for this dude, I have to study this for my music history final so you're helping a great deal!

  • where can i find a full version of this?

  • studying this for the leaving. starting to get sick of it, but it's so much better than Gerald Barry :L

  • @hesalumberjacknhesok so true!...

  • @hesalumberjacknhesok We're doing that next... NOT looking forward to it

  • @edgeypoosisepic gerald barry? it's awful. i couldn't even bring myself to listen to it to study it, so i messed up my pres. :/ it's like a cat being attacked with a variety of musical instruments.

  • @hesalumberjacknhesok Poor you D: Boohoohoo ;_; How dare music have less predictable tension and resolution?!

  • @hesalumberjacknhesok I'll call you a wahmbulence.

  • @DarkZekeX i'm not complaining, i'm just saying i don't like it and find it difficult to listen to. the same as any justin bieber song. and way to post two rediculously crap attempts at insults, fag.

  • @hesalumberjacknhesok Cry some more, whiny bitch :P

Have you ever even listened to Stravinsky, Schoenberg, Ligeti, Varese? Anything post-Beethoven?

  • @DarkZekeX i'm not crying, whinging, or complaining and i never was? and no, i have not. i'm not too keen on classical, and i don't see how that's relevant. your channel says your 24? seriously man, don't you have more important things to do than trying to act like a big tough guy on classical videos on youtube and failing terribly? you're such a fucking loser. and a bad troll.

  • @hesalumberjacknhesok You're not keen on classical? Aren't you studying music?

  • @DarkZekeX yes, but that doesn't mean i have to be in love with classical. i listen to most styles of music, i like to try and have as diverse a taste in music as possible. i like vivaldi, some tchaikovsky, a little bit of mahler. i prefer jazz, rock, metal, grunge, folk, techno//d'n'b/all that electronic music, reggae, blues, a little bit of swing, indie/alt whatever that's called, and some pop stuff, to name but a few.

  • @hesalumberjacknhesok Well if you enjoy such a great variety of music, I do not understand why Barry is too much for you ears.

  • @hesalumberjacknhesok lol yeah me too, wtf is up with dat song?!

  • Bo Rhap and Romeo and Juliet are my favourites. I find this one tougher to answer questions on and Gerald Barry is hard to come to terms with.

  • Anyone who can't appreciate a masterpiece by the greatest musician that ever lived probably should NOT be studying music. Stick to your basic arpegiated melodys with same old 4 chord progressions on the radio :P

  • @reeceodaking I've never heard anything more true in my life.

  • @reeceodaking

i agree with you, people should know how to appreciate something they aren't used to, but you're an elitist dickhead-- knowledge should be it's own reward, so stop touting yours like you're hot shit; fuck you

  • @Octalin96 That honestly was not my intention i was just making jest as i was angered by the comments i'd read bellow. i apologise if it came across as elitist.

  • @reeceodaking Bach is nowhere near the greatest musician in my opinion, if you can't appreciate that others won't like the music you do, you shouldn't even be talking about music.

  • @reeceodaking I agree with you, but you shouldn't be forced to study a set list of pieces, there is alot of great music from the past half decade or so, not just our generic radio shite, Classical isn't the only genre that breaks away from the box, and its only your opinion that he is ''the greatest musician that ever lived''. Being forced to study a piece just because it is accredited with being the most profound piece ever written really counteracts what you are saying.

  • love this work bt i prefer romeo and juliet

  • Where do these pig ignorant people come from, who can't recognise glorious music when they hear it?

  • Barry is aids

    This is awesome

Anyone else go to the show in Dublin in October to see this played along with the Barry choon?

  • @MrFuck2012 Yeah, I did. What was up with that 30-something dude alto?

  • anywhere to downlaod these badboys?

  • anyone else doing Bohemian Rhapsody aswel as Bach Barry and Tchaikovsky?its awesome but doesnt make up for this shite

  • who heres goin to be repeatin leavin cert music with me next year???????

  • bach is easy the themes are dead simple...barrys a cunt der so much learning in it :/

  • @PaulRooney14 i hate bach ! barry's annoy to listen to but themes are way easier :)

  • Heya Leaving Cert

  • @rosie19940 Doesnt it suck that we have to learn all of this!? Ugh!

  • @Eimear93x No it does not. You are privelaged and more than likely not worthy of studying this stuff.

  • @thedrumbum1990 I dont think you understood what i was talking about..

  • I'm studying this for leaving cert at the moment. I fucking hate it. I expected to know the in's and out's for potentially 10marks, ugh

  • @CautiousDiffusion If you have yet to do Gerald Barry, don't complain. Bach is awesome compared to that shite.

  • @xkarolynx I've studied all the other 3 works and Bach is the worst. Surprisingly my favourite is Barry :)

  • @CautiousDiffusion o: Wow, i think its shocking >.< Tchaikovsky, the Bach, and at the very..VERY end, its Barry o.e

  • @CautiousDiffusion same as the clapping in the practical :) such bullshit

  • thats what i was looking for !

  • great piece

  • My favorite Bach cantata. Outstanding interpretation by La Chepelle Choir.

  • La fotografía demuestra bien a las claras que Juan Sebastián Bach es de todos.También de ésas manos amigas y hermanas que trabajan.!

  • ya !

it is said that joshua rifkin's interpretations are the closest of as bach did

  • Wonderful performance of one of my favorite Bach canatas (in which I sung tenor in the choral movements back in college). I can also recommend a very fine 1-voice-to-a-part performance by Joshua Rifkin's Bach Ensemble which performs this chorus somewhat faster.

  • wellllllllllllllll done bey

  • It reminds me of Vivaldi.... just kidding :-D
