  • You must breathe very shallow. If you're on your stomach, you can breathe shallow using your abdominals. If you're on your back, think of it as flaring your lower ribs outward. It can be a bit of a trick. It's easier if you have your knee cocked out sideways so you're slightly on your hip and your stomach has something loose over it. You can even take long, slow deep breaths if you inhale and exhale slowly enough. It can help calm you and center your emotions if you control your breathing.
