@mydestinydog thanks! I think we still have lots of work to do, but hopefully one day she will be able to go to nationals =) It was a 3 day show, so I just had 3 runs each day. It was a couple hours between each run, but that's how AKC always is with Novice dogs, so it was expected haha!
@bcagility ah yeah i bet she will qualify one day ! and omg 3 days :L and omg a few hours between each run ! what did you do while you waited :/ depending on the show here or the ones i have been too if thers just 1 ring its about hourand a half 2 hours but there is usually always 2 rings and u do the first ring and then u go straight to the second or wait for the * mediums* to finish and then go and then have to wait till the other dogs do the 2 courses and some take 1 hour brakes :L
@mydestinydog This was a 3 ring show... but it's normal. We always have a couple hours between runs. I guess there are just that many dogs in the classes, and 2 rings are doing excellent level dogs, so the other ring is open and novice. So by the time all the other dogs run and the courses are rebuilt it has been a couple hours. I play with my dogs, hang out with friends, listen to music... idkkk haha! I guess it's just normal because that's how it has always been for shows here haha
Congrats!!!! Nice runs:-) So you use 2on2off for the dog walk and the teeter, and running contacts for the a-frame? I'm seriously thinking about doing that with my BC... he has a 2on2off contacts in all of them, but the running aframe looks nice..mmm :P
@agilityk Thank you! And yea I do a running frame and 2o2o on the others. I really like the idea of a running dw too, but I figured I'd stick with one running contact and see how I liked it. So far, so good, but it has been a long time coming. I started it the beginning of last year, and it is just getting to the point where I am confident enough to compete with it, but I still have a lot of work to do to keep it consistent. Definitely worth it though if your willing to put in the time!
