I loved the show!

There are so many shows that deserve to be cancelled, but this is definitely not one of them.

...and just when the Wayne/Charlotte relationship was developing.

The working title was "100 QUESTIONS FOR CHARLOTTE PAYNE"- the network insisted the title be shortened before its premiere. The series then played itself out on Thursdays at 8:30pm(et) for six weeks, between May and June 2010.

This isn't a "trailer"- this is a "demonstration film", a blueprint for the pilot/series that was to follow {IF the network wanted it}...obviously, this was tested before "focus groups", who were then given forms asking their opinions as to casting, content and how funny this was. The network digested the results, told the producers what casting changes to make, script adjustments, et. al., and gave them the "green light" to produce a full 22 minute pilot episode...which became the series.

@sabcam1 TV studios often produce one episode of a new show which is called a "pilot". Then they screentest it in front of different audiences/agegroups, who then tell the producers what they liked/didn't like about the pilot. If most people do not like an actor or a character the character either gets recast or cut from the show. Most first episodes/also called airing pilots often have very little to do with the original concept of a show. example: The Big Bang Theory (thank god for that)

What the hell happened!!! the trailer was funny like hell.

I was so disapointed when i watched the first episode, They changed everything, bu it wasn't a good change, it was much funnier on the trailer. I've watched episode 1 and 2, and they were funny but not as funny as this trailer. And there's no date yet for the episode 3 to air. They should release an episode every week, 'cause people will stop watching.

Any way, it looks too much like Friends, the Mike character is a not funny Chandler.

I watched the first episode up until the first commercial break. I can't believe that NBC had a pilot of the same episode, then did some cast changes and filmed the same piece of crap again! I knew it was going to be terrible when I was assaulted by canned laughter 10 seconds into it...if they have to tell you when to laugh, it isn't funny. And whoever was running the laugh track had the thing turned up to 10 when it should have been on 2...a sure sign that they know it isn't funny.
