For all its problems, the A-League has improved a lot since its creation. A lot better than the old format. It makes me cringe that they have to play this sport in the summer (much too hot) because of that so caled "sport" Aussie Rules.

The league has only started a few years ago, it will grow and get better. All of australia's talent are overseas and would never stay here. The money is shit. But look already, adelaide are in the semi finals of the AFC and almost into the final if they do not blow a 3-0 lead. In future years this will become an important league for australia if we ever want to be good at football. The quality of play is not great but it is still far better then the old NSL.
Utter rubbish, the peak of Australian domestic football quality was in the period of 84-99... The exodus of the great players came as the clubs and league went into decline. There are some good quality players at the moment but considering they are all full time professional and there is only 8 clubs then you'd expect it to be!
The NSL always manages to have the same or better quality across a 12-14 team league.

As I recall, at least Eng won the soccer world cup in 66 and correct me if I'm wrong, they last won the rugbyunion world cup in 03 beating Aus in Aus! And they got to the final of the 07 world cup by beating if I recall Aus again in the QF!
NZ have only 1 team in the NRL and Aus have 15, yet even they beat Aus in the rugby league world cup final in Aus! Aus have foreign coaches aswell!!

Aus put more money, emphasis, facilities, resources on sport than any other country in the world! The league has only started a few years ago, it will grow and get better. All of australia's talent are overseas and would never stay here. The money is shit. But look already, adelaide are in the semi finals of the AFC and almost into the final if they do not blow a 3-0 lead. In future years this will become an important league for australia if we ever want to be good at football. The quality of play is not great but it is still far better then the old NSL.

Utter rubbish, the peak of Australian domestic football quality was in the period of 84-99... The exodus of the great players came as the clubs and league went into decline. There are some good quality players at the moment but considering they are all full time professional and there is only 8 clubs then you'd expect it to be!
The NSL always manages to have the same or better quality across a 12-14 team league.

just look at epl or laliga bloopers they are resident in every league you cant just blame the a-league. as for jayfc i think its great that people are able to view the funnier side of the a-league and see many of the things you either miss or dont remeber while at the game so good on ya for that.

give the a league a chance to develop. its still a young league. i and think that aussies can play soccer. why dont u fucking come to australia and ill show ya the ppl who play?! as for JAYFCAK47, he's probably never player soccer in his life. its differnt wen ur out there play and watching from your lounge rooms or PCs. cushionatme and lokoese1986 are fukin losers.
