  • Hi Scott

Yes you are correct you aren't aloud to shoot ducks on water or ground so I suggest you take another look at the video as there is no ducks shot on the ground.

We used Browning and a Weatherby semi auto's.

    Thanks Steve

  • Only 11 sleeps till duck shooting. Carol x

  • Hi There good to hear from you. You are quite right in your comment. Carol x

  • gidday great vid. i will be shooting paris this year for opening morning. did you guys feed that paddock with maze?

  • In the winter farmers in our area (Central Otago) feed their sheep barley grain ( a kind of maze) as a suplement feed as theres no grass growth.

The ducks find this and feed on what the sheep haven't eaten. Thanks for watching and writing in. Good luck Duck shooting morning. How many sleeps now. Carol x

  • Hey, great vid! I can't wait for May to get back into it again! Not long now! What size shot do you use on the Parries?

  • Hi There, Have asked my son Steve who has Doctari Safaris hunting business and this is his reply

In feilds you can use lead shot we use # 4s or # 5s lead and over water steel shot # 2s

Everyone in our neck of the woods can't wait till duck shooting morning either. Good shooting and I hope you get a good duck dinner. Carol x
