Thanks for posting this ~ reading the comments really made my day! I was a teenager when I did the show, so it's great to know that people watching were rooting for me! My stage name is now Diana Lansleen and all these years later, I am still acting! By the way, my father was from Sri Lanka and my mother was from Denmark. They had already passed away when I did the show, so my tribute to my father was talking about him in the interview.
@VideoSurferClassic LOL Exactly, but I froze the screen on the first video of her and wrote it down...then did a google and found someone with that name who was in a pageant...so it must be her. I suppose standing next to eachother, Symba was the stronger, but Diana certainly was very pretty. Symba has quite an impressive acting reel today.
@70conrad Based on the criteria, She has the "beauty" and "the ability to speak effectively" yet the "poise" is the challenge as "Remarkable" Smith has the upper hand.
@70conrad You're smarter than me. I tried googling her name from memory first. It didn't work out so well. Finally froze it like you said. How'd the one judge give a 3 and a 2 on the scores? That should have been 4 to 3.75 either way.
@70conrad Her spelling is the challenging part as to why I called her Diana "A". Reminds me of South Park when the reporter mumbles after trying to pronounce the Japanese reporter's name.

How could they have given Symba a 2?? Who was the lousy judge who did that??

Symba was the best combination of girl next door and drop dead gorgeous that I ever saw on the show. No one was going to beat her.

what's up with the "2" for Symba? every other judge gave her a "4"

@willmoney34 Yes, I saw the finals with Reva and Nita...it was very good but Nita was amazing.

I'd give the edge to Diana, but they're both exceptional!
Did anyone see the final between Reva Rice and Nita Whitaker? Seems like that would have been a good one.

I think her last name is spelled Abeyewardene... I wonder what her ethnic background is? It must have been tough for th judges.
