Electric sets are only good if you live in an apartment or an elderly neighborhood. Acoustic drums for the win. Electric just doesn't give you the feel of a real acoustic set. Theres too much rebound...Its too easy...which don't get me wrong makes it fun sometimes...but when you play all your life's drumming on an acoustic set then switch to electric, makes me feel godlike. Which I am on an acoustic set anyways :)

Ya, and there's no sense of "Wow, I made this set sound really good" after you've changed the heads or tuned them. Or the sense, "man this new snare sounds really good!" Nope, no heads, no tuning, just an electric set

It's al personal preference. If you like not having to constantly keep your drums in tune, but being able to unlimitedly tune them or change the sound of any of the drums to whichever you like, then eDrums are the way to go. Many people like the expandability, versatility, and customization, as well as many other features than wouldn't be possible with an acoustic set.

only thing is, esets feel different. when i got my set i had a choice, acoustic or electronic. the electronic sets are versatile but you dont get the same satisfaction as beating on an acoustic set. only complaint about the acoustic set is that it isn't very versatile and if i want a new sound i have to buy new heads and what not, and it gets very expensive.
