  • dude you don't have any link to download this version of the song? it's the best version i heard, better than the grace under pressure tour or the bonus track from live in rio

  • Rush Rocks

  • This was a highlight song of the TimeMachine Tour in Tampa !

  • friggin' time machine

    happy 2011

  • i wish they left it on ESL

  • Just a couple of Jewish kids from Toronto. Amazing how far they took it.

  • @ejgiv -lest not we forget the gentile, oy vey.

  • @ejgiv Geddy's the only Jewish one ... but yes they did :P

  • a time machine elevator

    pounce paws warm bean dip

    mind mood lifter

    softest filter bravest facer 2010

  • This should of made it to Exit....Stage Left why not rerelease it now on cd and include this?

  • @feather0926 yea they should def release this version its great

  • for me, this is one of the best Cover Album in History of music Rock of all times. is fascinant, the entire scene....

Para mi, este es uno de las mejores portadas de albumes en la historia del rock de todos los tiempos,es fascinante,la escena entera.... a Rush fan.

  • No question this should've made it to ESL. I feel it's one of the band's best songs ever.

  • @metalhead75 AGREED!!

  • BEYOND

  • holy shit they are the best band ever . they just are freaks of nature.love them long live rush.my heros.peace

  • Got mine also, near front row! I cant wait!

  • Time Machine Tour 2010 ! Entire Moving Pictures Album being played.

  • @RIRush i already have my tickets! cant wait!

  • Oh Yeah~~~

  • This should have been added to the CD.

  • is this song from Exit Stage left tour? is from the concert album??'

  • listen to that bass line..epic!

  • not to mention the bass tone!

  • wow. Great quality too. did you remaster it to get it sounding so good, or was the record you used rarely listened to, and still in great quality?

  • what a great song, should have been on ESL

  • one of there best tunes. very underrated

  • It's stupid really. Exit.. could've/should've been the perfect 3 album set. And to make matters worse, when this was initially released on cd (the version of which I have) they cut yet another song, Passage.

    Idiots (not the band...)

  • rush was just simply ON FIRE in this era....top of Mount Everest in their career...chills...what a special time

  • you can convert these to your ipod for free

  • how can you do that?

  • THANKS for sharing this. :)

Please, I want the mp3 of this, as this single is probably out of print now (and has been for a long time!). Where can I get it??!??!? Or I could send you my email address and you email it there... Please? Thanks!!

  • Does anyone know who the people on the ESL cover are?

  • they are the characters from the other album covers all put together.

  • I forgot about this live version. It sounds awesome...thanks for posting!

  • Geddy's voice really was in it's best form back then. And of course it's the Rickenbacher on this song!!!

  • its a jazz on the album

  • Sooooo goood!

  • That's the Ricky, I think you'll find. It's got way too much balls to be a Fender. As it says in the intro, this was supposed to be on the ESL video.... so a Ricky it is!!! Oh yeah.. what a sound

  • he used the Jazz on this tour as well, not just the Rick

  • This has a much better guitar sound then GUP Tour. GUP was kind of the beginning of a thin guitar sound.

  • Comment removed

  • One of my favorite Rush songs. I'd give anything to have this on my iPod. I have live versions from the GUP dvd (from Rush Replay) and Rush In Rio (CD, not on DVD). This is the best version!

  • This sounds incredibly close to the GUP live video (recently put on DVD)...I thought for sure it was at first.

  • why does b side mean

  • when it was released on a single. new world man was the a side which was what the selling part of the single. since you could have a song on either side of the record another song to accompany the a side was the b side which was just another song the band had recorded.

  • Actually, I had this on 12" vinyl back in the day - I was in high school when this stuff came out! Wish I still had it - it was the B-Side to the "Countdown" 12". (The live version that's on some editions of "Rio" is as good as this one.) Now if we could just get a good live version of "Camera Eye", I'd be a happy man.

  • nah, it was the b-side to New World Man, i actually have this album single... I was so pumped for finding it back in the 90's...couldn't wait to hear vital signs live...

  • wow this version is so much better than the studio version. i always felt this song was more deserving than the 3+ odd minutes it got on MP.

  • who got into reggae first, rush or the police, just curious?

  • The Police got into reggae before Rush

  • @ToolsnFire so what? zeppelin did, too...

  • @michaelbillypec he's not saying anything about it like it is bad, someone asked who got into it first, rush or the police

  • Yeah Rush was really good at absorbing whatever was current and doing it their own way. This was a conscious effort on their behalf, and probably one of the reasons they stayed relevant for their entire career aside from their cult following. They dabbled in Grunge in the 90's...

  • god i love this song!!

  • I recently fell in love with this song after seeing it on the GUP DVD, then I listened to it on the album and memorized the lyrics. Great song, should've been on ESL instead of "Beneath, Between, Behind".

  • Disagree...ESL is perfect with BBB...however...there is no excuse to not have this on the CD version that is out now...I know I would buy it just to have a more complete show although there would still be about 4 other songs missing.

  • Frankly I have no idea why they wouldn't release this song as a bonus track on the current ESL CD or at least at iTunes.

  • i definitely agree with KaoKun...i would have much much preferred vital signs over bbb, .... i mean they were promoting MP at this time, not freakin fly by night, you need to have those new tracks representing and promoting the new album.. don't know what they were thinking there...

  • @mpc3po This song is a full two minutes longer than BBB, that's why! That shit mattered on vinyl.

  • @KaoKun1990 Wow, I love both Beneath, and Vital Signs, it would have been a tough choice between the two.

  • @KaoKun1990 both songs are worthy as all rush songs are,i have seen them 7 times live.going for #8. the time machine tour. camnt wait. ythey still are so good. amazing trio.

  • @KaoKun1990 totally agree, one of the very best Rush songs that is often overlooked, along with Witch hunt from the same album, the one which really got me into Rush back in 1981, and for 30 years now i stand by the words, "they are the best band i have EVER seen or heard"

  • great song, man I wish i had this version

  • this is great. I wish this was on exit stage left. keep the videos coming.

  • @woloschuk123 i wish they had a huge live box set of all the tours since the first album onward.peace

  • @mdelair420 true that
