dude you don't have any link to download this version of the song? it's the best version i heard, better than the grace under pressure tour or the bonus track from live in rio
When Clockwork Angels comes out I will download it on iTunes and change the album title to "That's Bullshit!!!"(or at at least until they get into the rock and roll hall of fame)
It's stupid really. Exit.. could've/should've been the perfect 3 album set. And to make matters worse, when this was initially released on cd (the version of which I have) they cut yet another song, Passage.
Please, I want the mp3 of this, as this single is probably out of print now (and has been for a long time!). Where can I get it??!??!? Or I could send you my email address and you email it there... Please? Thanks!!
That's the Ricky, I think you'll find. It's got way too much balls to be a Fender. As it says in the intro, this was supposed to be on the ESL video.... so a Ricky it is!!! Oh yeah.. what a sound
One of my favorite Rush songs. I'd give anything to have this on my iPod. I have live versions from the GUP dvd (from Rush Replay) and Rush In Rio (CD, not on DVD). This is the best version!
when it was released on a single. new world man was the a side which was what the selling part of the single. since you could have a song on either side of the record another song to accompany the a side was the b side which was just another song the band had recorded.
Actually, I had this on 12" vinyl back in the day - I was in high school when this stuff came out! Wish I still had it - it was the B-Side to the "Countdown" 12". (The live version that's on some editions of "Rio" is as good as this one.) Now if we could just get a good live version of "Camera Eye", I'd be a happy man.
nah, it was the b-side to New World Man, i actually have this album single... I was so pumped for finding it back in the 90's...couldn't wait to hear vital signs live...
Yeah Rush was really good at absorbing whatever was current and doing it their own way. This was a conscious effort on their behalf, and probably one of the reasons they stayed relevant for their entire career aside from their cult following. They dabbled in Grunge in the 90's...
I recently fell in love with this song after seeing it on the GUP DVD, then I listened to it on the album and memorized the lyrics. Great song, should've been on ESL instead of "Beneath, Between, Behind".
Disagree...ESL is perfect with BBB...however...there is no excuse to not have this on the CD version that is out now...I know I would buy it just to have a more complete show although there would still be about 4 other songs missing.
i definitely agree with KaoKun...i would have much much preferred vital signs over bbb, .... i mean they were promoting MP at this time, not freakin fly by night, you need to have those new tracks representing and promoting the new album.. don't know what they were thinking there...
@KaoKun1990 both songs are worthy as all rush songs are,i have seen them 7 times live.going for #8. the time machine tour. camnt wait. ythey still are so good. amazing trio.
@KaoKun1990 totally agree, one of the very best Rush songs that is often overlooked, along with Witch hunt from the same album, the one which really got me into Rush back in 1981, and for 30 years now i stand by the words, "they are the best band i have EVER seen or heard"

This has a much better guitar sound then GUP Tour. GUP was kind of the beginning of a thin guitar sound.
