it wouldn't matter if my parents disaggred with a aunt if i ever acted that way i would fly across the room...I was always to respect my elders or loose teeth
Man!! DJ is such a disrespectful little asshole!!! I'd NEVER speak to my aunts that way.. they're big and would have me in a head lock before I could say go!
@raiders2000 Well, good for you! I'm glad you are able to express your opinion so freely
However, not everyone agrees with you and there will always be people who disagree with you, so please, try to respect OTHER PEOPLE'S opinions. We're all entitled
If people who are pro-choice claim that we should have the right to do what we want with our bodies, why do they act as if we don't have the right to voice our opinions? It's hypocritical to call yourself pro-choice and argue with others who disagree with you.
It's wrong to see people being attacked and ridiculed for not wanting to kill someone. Sorry if I don't want to fight for the right to kill my child. I find it much more intelligent to not put myself in that situation in the first place.
Voicing your opinion is different then harrassing someone. Stand by your convictions, but it is wrong to stand outside of clinics and harrass a young woman who has just had a serious medical procedure. For all you know, that young woman might have been raped or couldn't carry a fetus to term do to medical reasons. Whatever the reason, it's PRIVATE. Do you really think she needs a bunch of people screaming "MURDERER" in her face?!?! There is a time and a place for everything.
I never harrased anyone, nor would I ever. If it was rape or if the baby or mother was so sick that lives were in danger, then it's fine, but I never harrased anyone. And people who are for abortion have done a lot of harrassing too.
Who are they harrassing and where? Is there a Pro Life haven somewhere that I don't know about where Pro Choice people go and harrass its members?! We will never agree and people who are "pro life" are entitled to their opinion. I just say it is chicken shit for people to harrass someone outside of a clinic where they have just received medical attention.
i agree it's private, I think its so wrong when people rally and scream in peoples faces who have had abortions "MURDERER". A woman who has an abortion already has things to deal with emotionally, she doesnt need someone screaming her face. Personally, if you terminate a life then that's murder. That's just my opinion. People will always justify their actions, its human nature.
I agree. I am pro-life, myself, but I don't believe that I have to join a rally because of my belief. A lot of the pro-LIFERS in society are making us all look bad because some of them (such as many in the rallies), have become militant and fanatical and have lost sight of what the real meaning is--all human life is worthy and precious, mother and child.
I don't believe in abortions if you were rape then go through the pregnancy and then give the baby up for adoption i don't believe in abortions at all even if you are raped or you don't want a baby just deal with it
I agree. I am a woman and I still think it's totally irrisponsible. If it were the result of rape, or if the child's and/or mother's health were at risk (which happened to a friend of a friend) then it's alright, but other than that, no. People today need to learn to be more responsible with their decisions about sex, and this certainly isn't helping.
You know something - if you think you have it all figured out when it comes to an issue as complicated and difficult as abortion, you are SURELY wrong. It's cute that everybody here thinks they can make these self-righteous, black and white pronouncements, but real life is different.
One thing we CAN say though - women have had the right to make this decision for themselves in America for decades, and that is not going to change.
Personally, I don't believe in abortion. I understand if you were raped and got pregnant from that and then couldn't deal with it, but I can't understand why anyone would kill there own child.
i thin its the womens choice to have the baby or not. i dont care about law or how others feel about it its their choice not others. So if a women does get rid of it then others should stay out of their business,
One thing i ahted about this episode was: the older children were all gettting angry when 1. it wasnt their decision in the frist place: its the parents, 2 they were angry for litterly SELFISH, PETTY, reasons. even if it wasnt real; it actaully shows real things thjat happen: people get rid of their babies for selfish reasons most of the time. Half the time its becasue they dont want to be tied down and own up for thier actions. like i said: i understand if its for medical reasons but not petty
wow. -.- look kid, If I dont liek this episode for the reason i've staed then I can say that, just like everyone else has commented on this video and has said their opinions. and quite frankly I dont care how you type: if you want to display how ignorant you are then be my guest. You're the one who's obviously stupid, just by the way you carry yourself. If you dont liek my reasons for my opinions then oh well, i really dont care, and nobody else cares either. So fuck off.
"people get rid of their babies for selfish reasons most of the time."
you mean some of the time, not most. Have you done a survey to every person who has gotten an abortion and asked them their reasoning? No, you're just speculating.

i totally agree with you. it doesnt matter when u terminate the pregnancy, its still a live person and just because its dependent and defenseless does not mean it can be killed.
yes they are: they ARE entiled to their own opinion, but people still need to understand that somtimes people's opinions are diffenrt form the truth: Murder is murder is murder, but it's somone's opinion if murder is right or wrong. obviously your sayign that murder is right in this case. yes people have choices. but you have to suffer the consiquences of your choices: if you murder somone you should bepunished weather they are baby or adult.
but thank you for agreeing that we do ahve aright to opinion. im not trying to start fights and stuff, but im really passinate about it when it comes to abortion. i mean, this is a HUMAN LIFE we're talking about :( that baby could one day become a person just like you or me, so why should people not be punished for killing it? yes they should ahve a choice, but if they make the wrong choice then they should be punished. the ONLY excption should be medical.
Yes I stand by my statement of "Typical Feminist show" here. What you are failing to comprehend is that I am not speaking about just the show here but in general life as well. I am fully aware of Roseanne's character traits of her past but as you stated before, this is a TV show not real life. Lets stick to reality please.
Typical feminist show here, close minded to think a man has no rights when it comes to the responsibility of a child born or in the development stage. Its an EQUAL partnership here. You can't have a child without the other. Sperm comes from one place as the womb comes from another. Don't like the set-up, see God! Can't deal with the fact a man has rights, don't have un-protected sex! Kootos to Dan for shutting Jackie up!
Yep! Women fail to understand that once you get pregnant it is no longer just your body. The same way the man would have the right to have a say in not wanting you to smoke or drink because it will affect the baby, so does he have the right to have a say in what you choose to do with the pregnancy. That is the choice you make when you get pregnant to stop viewing it as only YOUR body. You have a responsibility to the baby and the the father to do what's best for both and not just for yourself.
Hahah are you joking? First off, more often than not, people don't "choose to get pregnant". Typically it happens by chance. Second of all, yes, the father should be able to express his opinions about the pregnancy and health of the child, but never, ever, does the woman have to stop viewing it as her body. It will always be the woman's body. Nut job
Nut job? Were you looking in a mirror when you said that? Most people who get pregnant are more interested in having sex than in considering the responsibilities that go along with it. When you have sex you are essentially choosing to accept the fact that pregnancy is an outcome. You can slice it however you want but that is the way it is.
Clearly reading comprehension is not your strong point because I didn't say it stops being the woman's body, I said it stops being JUST the woman's body. A new life is sharing that body with her and that new life was created with the help of that man and so that man has as much of a say in what happens to that life as the woman since the life cannot speak for itself.
Whoa! I meant no harm. And my reading comprehension is just fine...I completely agree that when you have sex you must be willing to accept the consequences of pregnancy, all I was stating is that most pregnancies are by chance and yes, the father does have say on how to care for the unborn, but it is still the woman's body. That is one of the advantages of being the woman in the pregnancy!! Dont ya think??
I'm really sorry, I guess I should've used a different term- I forget how condescending text can sound when you can't hear it being said...we always say Nut Job like, knucklehead, or "silly goose" hah...Sorry! I've never engaged in a comment convo on youtube before...pretty funny.
i guess you don't watch Roseanne often, huh? Now don't get me wrong I agree with you, BUT you need to also understand that Roseanne was beaten, and abused by her father and mother, which made her not trust men, she had a very hard life so she doesn't want a man to help with a decision. understand the show before you call it a "typical feminist show"
What does happen to the baby? I know she has a baby later in the show and I dont think its this one because DJ and Andy are more grown like by a couple years.
it is this one...she was just pregnant "on-show" for a very long time. She discovered she was pregnant in Season 7's opener "Nine Is Enough" in early September 1994 and didn't "give birth" until the Halloween episode of Season 8 in late October 1995, nearly 14 months later. So assuming she was four weeks along when she found out, her on-screen pregnancy lasted some 15 months.
i feel bad for rosey men think they have it hard but it's the womans body its coming out of its much harder on them cuz we can die from having a baby them they just stand there and coach.
The baby may be in Roseanne's body (that part can't be helped), but that doesn't mean she should treat Dan the way she is. He is the husband and father and should have a say without being shut out.
Why should Roseanne be taking her man-hating attitude toward Dan when he's been nothing but loving and supportive to her?
