It sucks we all have to get old...Morrissey was cool looking when he was young, now he looks all fat and old. What a shame. Good thing Jim Morrisson died in his younger years, so we can remember him as a smooth, suave dude (even tho he gained a few pounds at the end).
@brsmith0898 are you kidding?! he's beautiful....he's much better looking than that jasmine girl that fawns over him. the question is, who is more famous??? hmm......
@mdwlcx If you hate him so much, why are you here? you religious, closet-cases are all the same. your responses are that of a high schooler and, even that's an insult to them. move on to your religious jesus freak crap somewhere other than trolling on the net. Douche.
@mdwlcx who gives a shit, dinosaur? I remember this dude being huge among my highschool peers at the time...seems like straight gay, whomever worshipped the dude. music is music. I dont like celine dion and her fairytale fucking happy ass frog life, yet i'm not on her videos calling her a frog with a giraffe's neck. live and let live. and fuck off with your christian, god, bullshit agenda. I came from that crazy christian baptist nut shit and no one fills my head with that shit anymore
Out of boredom I googled Bermondsey Street after watching the kid lean against the street sign at 1:15 in the video. I found where that part of the video was filmed, at the corner of Bermondsey and Crucifix Lane. The street sign isn't there anymore but you can match up the building at the North East of the intersection. If you look close on the sidewalk you can see the holes where the sign used to be.
Love it!!! I really wish this vid allowed embedding, I would love to send it to some friends :( You would also benefit from more views that way!! Thanks for dl it anyway
I remember buying this album the day it came out. I was in the 10th grade. wow. I listened to it over and over again, along with Depeche Mode's Violator which also came out around the same time. ahhhhh...
@marqevo which album? This was released as a single, not from any album. It was first released on an LP afterwards on Bona Drag compilation, which is not an album per se. Before that was the 1st Mozz album Viva Hate, which doesn't contain this track, and the next album was Kill Uncle (as far as I can remember), which was released after Bona Drag.
@whitebigpolarbear Talking abot the truth. You go check it out. Bona Drag contains all Morrisseys singles up to that point, as well some of the songs from their B-sides. The only new single that was released with the compilation was "Picadilly Palare". And I do know what I'm talking about because I'm a long time Smiths' fan, have all of their records, and most of Morrissey's too. Go check the contents of Bona Drag if you won't take my word for it.
Flat on my back in the Veterans hospital after some bum surgery, I picked up on this guy on an "indie" station, WDRE-FM out of Long Island. Hadn't listened to anything but classical since I got out of the Marines after Asia early '70s. This Morrissey was a revelation---I only like some of his stuff, but when he gets it right, he's the best. I've been told that, given my crude & primitive mental process, I shouldn't like him. I say, "Want to make something of it ?"
What an absolutely perfectly pure 80's sounding song. It is from the 80's, is it not? Music like this NEVER gets old. Love it. Plus he's a hottie, for sure!
@Dude2Hot2BStr8 released in 89 in the UK, but took off in the states in the 90s. I always thought it was 90s though! Who cares when it came out, great song!
Great Morrissey song. He was wise to go it alone from The Smiths, although they had some fantastic songs, too: ie: How Soon is Now, the greatest alternative song ever made.
