I do vocal tuition as one of my core subjects at school. These are just warm-ups, they just loosen your vocal cords and loosen up your jaw and lungs. You don't have to sound good at all... but she just does, because she's freaking amazing(:

I found out from my own vocal coach that Brett Manning was taught by Seth Riggs who started Speech Level Singing.. So pretty much, you can recieve the same kind of training from any of the speech level singing teachers.. to find out more about it, just google speech level singing.

I highly recommend it. i just started this type of training and I already have noticed an improvement after 3 lessons. Its deff worth it(:

@SuperNoobTroll The point of warm ups isn't to sound good. Its to excersize the vocal chords and warm up the voice. Shes not trying to sound beautiful, shes trying to improve her technique and expand her range. You wouldn't run a marathon without stretching first would you?

@FuzzyPurpleSocks Exactly. The exercises are running up and down scales; there are sharp and flat notes included on those scales that are generally not used in today's music vocal wise. Ignorant fools forget that music has more than just a pretty element. Haha, as for all the funny sounds she makes going up and down the scales, you sound ridiculous doing it but it does loosen everything up and make note transitions easier as well as make it easier to speak/sing the lyrics.
