@Grim1son Really? Is that why he is inducted into the hall of fame, won a stanley cup, captained a great stars team for 10 years, won olympic gold, had five 30+ point seasons. He was a great stay at home defenseman that could play on the PK, PP, 5 on 5, and he knew how to neautralize big names on opposing teams. Sure he played physical, i would too if i was 6' 5''. I think Marty Mcsorley and Sean Avery are among the dirtiest players

I remember when he was with the Stars and got suspended, came back and started throwing his body around, and the Stars announcer said "Hatcher has come back and said 'daddy is home, tonight'". One of the best commentators lines ever hahaha.

I will miss watching Hatch go psycho in defense of a teammate. My favorite was him pounding Kelly Bookberger (sp?) and refusing to let him fall. Modano was always a lot braver when Hatch was on the ice.

God, I love Hatch. The best was when he kicked Ryan Malone's ass in the '08 ECF. Imagine a dude as big as Hatcher pulling your shirt over your face and repeatedly punching you. I'm glad he's still with the Flyers organization, though.

yea he had surgery a few weeks ago and his knee was reconstructed. he got hurt multiple times and he screwed his leg up in the 07-08 season..but he played in the 07-08 playoffs. he didn't play at all in the 08-09 season because of his leg
