there's an "on button" in the pitch area.

@hardstyleaddictedNL you go to the tone section in ultrabeat, make sure the "power button" is lit up in that section, and then make sure you have the right note in the piano roll.

I've made kicks using Synth1 on PC that sound similar to this. Same principles applied here can be used for pretty much any synth. Synth1 is free too, an awesome VSTi for PC.

sine saw basses are easy to make lol, the crunchy kick/bass will come from multiple uses of PURE saw waves with EQ distortion and saturation. you'll want to make a short staccato punch by adding a saw punch to some claps and snares, distort, EQ, etc, then make the bass with saw

@fstball4110 Not true. A lot of Hardstyle artists use it. You just have to know how to use it right. It doesn't really matter what step sequencing software you use. The third party generators and plug-ins are what really matter.

but, as I had not noted with detail, you have to eq it with the low end as 200 hz up 24db and PUT A LIMITER ON IT.

Then, distort it. Bounce a hit and find the pitch. Then, map it to an exs24 sampler instrument, so you get a hardstyle kick and bass. Then play with an eq to your liking.

But its more a hardcore kick, a hardstyle is all about the decay and this one is like all scrambled and everything xD

But never the less, you can do a lot of fun stuff with it.
