I am mexican, and what i know is that Indonesia, Turkey and Mexico are potentially candidates to become, along with BRIC countries, powerful countries, but not until they do politic and economic reforms to empower their annual growth rate.
Non of these countries r better than other, they are just different, and that is what make each of them wonderful.
BTW, don´t believe what you watch on TV. Better visit those countries to get an idea of the situation of them and how they really look like.

Chile just like Argentina have been known to make up their poverty numbers although they claim to have 12% to 15% population under poverty is well know that their real numbers go up to 30% to 35% living under poverty. Brazil has a lot of social problems starting with a very corrupt government. My mayor is in Economy.

I honestly think Mexico could be better if it hadn't signed the free trade agreement with U.S. They could be developing their internal market, but the agreement made it even weaker. It's not good for any country to be so much dependent on other country economy. Mexico should be seeking for diversity, not becoming the 52nd American state, shortly after Canada.
