  • I like you you seem like a real down to earth person . You may seem a bit different but I think it adds to your charm . I wish you well p.s I may not follow your advice but between you and your followers comments I think you are a good resource for advice. take care

  • @electricmusicmagic HI thanks for visiting my vids! Do check out the comments and leave your own tips. :)

I currently use: Dr. Bronners Soap, baking soda, apple cider vinegar, and coconut oil for my hair. I make toothpaste with coconut oil, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and a drop of Bronner's peppermint soap, and for skin I use almond oil, a beeswax balm I make, and rose & jojoba oil for my face. For deo I use ACV vinegar mixed with aloe era.

    CHEERS!

  • U R A DRAMAAA QUEEENNNNNNNNNNNN

  • I love face naturals deodorants. They are all natural and organic and they work better than my antiperspirant. They have stick deodorants and cream ones for extra sensitive skin.

  • I like your Videos and your Positive Personality. What would suggest for Guys. Does your Husband use these products ?

  • @srzman1 These are all gender neutral products that will not despise you for your manhood. My husband prefers almond oil for his dry skin, and likes bar soap for showering, so I get organic unscented bulk soap from Brambleberry soap making supply store online. It's cheap, man.

  • @RVqueen thanks i will definitely try Almond because i have Dry Skin too.

  • Thanks for sharing the information and for having such a great personality and character!

  • You don't have to shower more than once a week? Sorry but I don't feel like having greese drip out of my hair...

  • I have heard that baking soda erodes tooth enamel, do you know if that's true?

  • "bacterias that are pooping under your arm" Seriously? Are you sleep deprived?

  • @DeadwoodSD1876 I love bacteria, fungi, yeasts, molds, etc... they are full of microbeauty. But yes, they do POOP. That's why you gotta brush your teeth and stuff. It's also why sourdough bread is delicious.

Speaking of yummy, try some Apple Cider Vinegar in your pits. Bacteria hate it!

  • @RVqueen

    You rock, girlie.

  • @RVqueen--Apple cider vinegar in the pits works for about a day, but if you use it any more than a day, you get a nasty burn.

  • @mshafer1021 thank you i believe what you say any more info i'd appreciate it.

  • @srzman1--Hi..glad you value my opinions!!! Here are my favorite products: TOOTH CARE: Ipsab Tooth Powder ... DEODORANT: Burt's Bees Sage Oil deodorant or Terressentials ...SHAMPOO: Morocco Method (expensive), Terressentials (somewhat expensive) Cal Ben Five Star Shampoo (cheap and good). BATH SOAP: Cal Ben Five Star Soap or Dr. Bronner's or Whole foods Castille soap or Zum Soap. COLOGNE: Burt's Bee's cologne. FACIAL CARE: Jack Lalanne's Facial exercise and Loofa pad twice a week

  • @mshafer1021 thanks

  • First of all, you must be a Nun, because not taking a shower for five days...you ain't getting "none." LOL

Now, let me correct you on a few things:

1- DO NOT use Arm & Hammer for anything. It is LOADED with Aluminum!! Bob's Redmill is best.

2 - DO NOT use deodorant crystals !!! They have Potassium Alum in them, which is just a "natural sounding" way to say ALUMINUM !!! Burt's Bees Sage Oil deodorant is best

3 - Only organic coconut Oil

4 - Terressentials Mud Shampoo is the best option

  • Here are some pre-packaged "SAFE" alternatives for people who don't have time for all that craziness:

Soap: Dr. Bronner's OR Whole Foods all purpose castille soap

    Toothpaste: MIEssence toothpaste

Deodorant: Burt's Bees Sage Oil Deodorant

Shampoo: Terressentials Mud Shampoo OR Morrocco Method shampoo

Actually ANYTHING by Terressentials or Dr. Bronners is excellent !!! About the deodorant, ladies let it settle...it smells kinda masculine at first. You have to order most of this online

  • @mshafer1021

what about watkins..products..they make spices and extracts..and also body supplies...they claim organic and all natural on some of them

  • @DMW53184---Never heard of Watkins, I'll have to check them out. I tell ya though there are a TON of people out there who seem "alternative" or "open minded" or what have you, who are just as stubborn as their counterparts who are much less so. They won't hear correction or new information if their life depended on it !!! It's called scoring low on the Teachability Index...which is why in the club I belong too, we teach that is the reason people are not successful or wealthy or anything...

  • @mshafer1021 your response is so true and genuine..iam glad you are trying to enlighten some..but i see many are blind..you are again i say too kind.

  • @DMW53184---The thing is, I am just awake..that's all. There is some information that, once you have it, you cannot live without it, and you feel a burden to spread it.

So many people don't think correctly, which is why they are inhibited from most good things. Why? Because they are UNTEACHABLE!!!

Let me ask you something...would you be interested in learning a few secrets we share in our club? Basically stuff that teaches you how to have, be and do all you want. Let me know :-)

  • @mshafer1021 I would be delighted to learn and thankyou for the invitation.

  • @mshafer1021 I don't believe everything this person says. BUT I like the tips! ROCK ON!!!!

  • @RVqueen----Ma'am, it doesn't matter if you believe me or not, it doesn't change the facts. You need only look at the ingredients "potassium alum" on the deodorant, and you will quickly see why it causes a concern. Also, NEVER buy anything from a publicly traded, mega corporation...because the processing is cheap, and they cut corners, thus, Arm & Hammer has lots of aluminum in it!!! Would you eat aluminum foil? probably not, so why put in on your skin, where its more readily absorbed ???

  • @mshafer1021 Here's a quote from a letter from Bob's Red Mill (posted on a forum where the baking soda aluminum was being discussed), "most baking soda now days does not have aluminum. **we used to get asked this question a lot back when other co. had aluminum in theirs. So we added it to our labeling ** we may consider taking it off." Arm & Hammer isn't like my pet or anything, but this video is all about CHEAP alternatives, and theirs is pure and cheap. I tried to promote small companies here

  • Of course I do use organic coconut oil, the best source is Rose Mountain Herbs by the gallon. At the time my local store only had this weird kind, but now (years later) even they have organic!

I currently also use a lot of Bragg's vinegar and beeswax from my own hives. Plus I now have access to more running water and shower more, but it is chlorinated, which means I should probably shower less!

  • @mshafer1021 Actually, Arm & Hammer is aluminum free. It's simply sodium bicarbonate, like any other aluminum-free baking soda.

  • @RVqueen---(1 of 2) ...and also, it is VITAL that you get coconut oil organically grown, raw, cold pressed, extra virgin. Why? Because the crap you held up to the screen is chock full of chemicals !!! Do you know how they fertilize non-organic food fruits and vegetables? They take the waste by-products of aluminum production, like aluminum dioxide, mercury, barium & others, and put that shit on the crops as FERTILIZERS!!! They also dump it in your tap water and call it FLUORIDE !!!!

  • @mshafer1021

shes young..lol...and probably didnt research much on the ingrediants in her healthy products....you are to kind to correct her. almost best comment on here...i would have said ..take a shower every day..

  • @mshafer1021 Best to use the cystal deo sparingly if at all. That said, they have been used in India (as more than just deo) for thousands of years... and India's alzheimer's rate is the lowest in the world. It's more the breast cancer I would worry about.

I personally don't usually need deo. My husband says I always smell great. :)

  • @RVqueen---They crystals shouldn't be used at all, even in spray form. Again, Potassium alum is nothing more than aluminum...maybe not industrial grade, but it is still aluminum. Burt's Bees Sage Oil deodorant has alcohol, water and essential oils. that preparation is so natural, you can virtually make it yourself. But otherwise, pure baking soda is the best alternative. ...a HUGE cause of breast cancer is your MATTRESS!!! The metal coils act as an antenna for electro magnetic frequencies

  • @RVqueen---India's low Alzheimer's rate is mainly due to their diet, because there are other countries who don't use the crap deodorant that Americans use, but have higher Alzheimer's rates than India. India's low Alzheimer's rate is almost categorically related to their diet high in CURCUMIN. The source of it is turmeric, and when mixed with black pepper is one of the most powerful antioxidants known to man. Deodorant is only one factor in Alzheimer's. Vaccines also play a huge part in it

  • @RVqueen---The mineral salts found in the deodorant crystal & spray are the same crap that vitamin companies put in commercially produced vitamins, like Centrum, NOW, etc. It's all garbage, and categorically, 100% unhealthy to put on your skin or to ingest. Here's more advice (1) stop using deo crystals (2) find an alternative to bras (3) replace your mattress with an organic eco wool mattress (4) Make turmeric & black pepper supplements (5) use baking soda for deodorant...nothing else.

  • @RVqueen---Oh, I almost forgot...get a shower filter from e-water, and shower magnets from roaring lion publications. Also, get the EMF protector (a pendant) from e-water, as well as the bio-pro chip for your cell phone. Make sure everything you eat is organic, or at least non-gmo...don't eat anything pre-packaged, even if it is organic...make your own juice twice a day...no pork, no shellfish, no corn, no wheat...raw dairy products...walk 1 hour a day, don't run...sweat as much as possible

  • @mshafer1021

Lots of controversy over baking soda. lol

Arm and Hammer is supposedly as aluminum-free as Bob's Mill. I believe that it is. There are side-by-side analyses of each somewhere on internet, but I don't know where now. Been too long.

A strict raw vegan diet will remove any need for deodorant in most people within 4 weeks. There are also good tooth powders available that don't use baking soda as a base. All verifiable, with google. tata

  • @BooKittyRadley

    'scuse me. Bob's 'Redmill'.

    lolz

  • @BooKittyRadley---I understand that a raw vegan diet will remove body odor, but such a diet ultimately is not the best choice for health. DON'T GET ME WRONG...the Raw, Living foods should be the BASIS of every diet!!! But there must be some animal proteins, and there are some foods (like tomatoes) that only yield their real nutrients when cooked. There are some vegetables that you just can't have raw because they're not edible..like Eggplants. the Mediterranean diet is best

  • @mshafer1021

    lol

We are far from Eden. If you want ideal, the closest you are going to get is either raw vegan + insects, OR low fat raw vegan + supplements. That is the truth of the matter. But believe as you wish.

P.S. I know it's not vegan if you eat insects.

    Peace, OUT.

  • Can mixed baking soda with corn starch and dust whole body to lower the body smells. Great tutorial.

  • Quit smoking pancake mix.

  • She's not on drugs; the girl is tired. Have you never been tired?

  • @NekoNoTsuchi Not like this.

  • Why pp think that she is on drugs, I refuse to belive that such a nice person is on THAT!!

  • @MininalaTorre Thank you! Finally, a sensible drug-related comment! HUGS NOT DRUGS!

  • @MininalaTorre shes stoned on life

  • speaking of hemp oil

    are you on drugs

  • Lately I've been washing my hair with baking soda and using vinegar for conditioner. I have tangleable hair and this works great!!! Brushing my teeth with coconut oil. Those 3 kitchen ingredients are all I need now!

  • Dr.B liquid soap should be diluted 12 parts water to 1 part soap, its a waste to use it undiluted, take that into account before you decide if it's expensive or not.

  • @islandmamma Oh and you can mix baking soda, corn starch and coconut oil (or other solid oil like veg lard) and pat them together and use that under your arms, I scent mine with jasmine. orange and clove.

Baking soda and borax for laundry and baking soda for tooth powder.

  • i use dr b's soap. if you use this soap for a week then you go back to chemical soap you WILL see a huge difference.

  • This is great, i love this video!!! you have inspired me to be even more aware of what goes in and on my body! and you are also very cheerful! thanks

  • Thank you! Give them a try. It feels great to go natural!

  • Great tips! Thanks very much! The only thing I would say is that the baking soda for cleaning your teeth might not be the best solution if like me you have sensitive gums and teeth.

  • I think she was stoned. Really.

  • What's a wealth of knowledge, thank you.

  • Unpasteurized apple cider vinegar.

It's kiiinda expensive, but it works very well as a cleanser.

However, you might want to use something to disguise the vinegar'y smell.

You may also wish to create a dilute solution with it if your skin is sensitive.

I've noticed however, since I be a welder, that nothing gets atomized metal and other nasty stuff out of my pores like unpasteurized apple cider vinegar.

  • Thanks for a great tip!

I have some in my fridge for making cole slaw. My husband welds stuff sometimes... I'll try it on him!

  • That's rather funny when I think about it.

I wash my face with ingredients for coleslaw.

But it works! It seriously works, it balances out your skin's ph levels and prevents blemishes.

  • Like...wow...I mean...really... I just recently tried Dr. Bronner's and finding I kind of like it.

  • has any1 ever tried this.. ever?

  • are these vegan?

  • I don't believe they have any animal products in them. I'm vegetarian so sometimes I use beeswax or lanolin, but I think these here are just plants and minerals.

  • Funny, honest, warm, natural... great! I like you! made me laugh it was 100% watchable and interesting and easy.

  • Funny music! Haha. For teeth, would baking soda, sea salt, and coconut oil be a good combination? Or should I just use water instead of the oil?

  • I know dr bronners is good....but if you want a great natural conditioner a little coconut oil will help in that way

  • Loved your video! Great tips girl! You are so cute and did a great job.

  • does baking soda really whiten your teeth?.... or just helps them stay clean... but not whiten them..

  • Are you stoned?

  • Never.

    Next question?

  • BTW. Baking soda is AMAZING for cleaning kitchen sinks!

  • Keep it fresh, OH YEAH!

  • your a nutbar and nutbars seem to become popular on youtube.. I like your videos(lol)

  • She's adorable!!!

Even the weirdly cute lazy left eye at 2:24 when she sniffs the deodorant stone.

  • how can you take a shower once a week?? i take a shower everyday. bacteria builds up on ur skin. also i sweat too much to use that stone deodorant. i use an antiperspirant

  • When its this hot out sometimes I shower 2 or 3 times a week. If you live in the city you probably need to shower more because there's a lot of diseases and stuff, too. Otherwise I just spot-wash my feet, etc. I don't know any natural antiperspirants.

  • I've lived all of my adult life in big cities & showered everyday. In NYC and LA, often twice a day, washing my face twice a day was an absolute must.

Now that I've been living (mostly) in the South of France for about a year, I have to say, it is MUCH LESS POLLUTED & while I still shower everyday (more out of habit), I really just rinse my face morning and night and only use cleanser 2 or 3 times a week. Before, if I missed a single morning or night, I was guaranteed a pimple but now, never!

  • thanks for the vid...do you need to dilute the dr. bronner's soap to wash your face with it???

  • I always do. The bottle says "Dilute! Dilute!"

  • she eats her hair products lol!

  • If you can't eat it don't put it on your bod!

  • are u serious. . . . . . .

  • i have a black dot on my tooth

  • Try putting bee propolis on it and go see a dentist!

  • i tried baking soda as a deodorant today and it works wonders! an antiperspirant and deodorant in one!

  • Wow I love this video! Thanks for the tips! Natural products are great. I'll have to try Dr Bronners sometime, but coconut oil is amazing. Unfortunately, I can only find it in the health food store so it costs a lot more.

  • can i buy some drugs off of u. lol

  • lol

  • haha@ bacteria pooping under ur arm...lol

  • 5:19 was hilarious she dozed off

  • Cornstarch is a nice replacement for baby powder.

  • You didn't show the remineralization mouthwash. What exactly is the remineralization mouthwash called on the website? Is it a powder or is it a liquid?

  • I mean the "Remineralization Powder" listed under Mouth Care: Assorted Oral Care. Mine is unscented, and has a nice flavor that my 5 year old approves of.

  • You look so blazed...u look like your on cloud 9

  • you came up as a featured vid today,,,always good to hear you,,,,why have you not put up new vids,,,my withdrawl symptoms are becoming very severe,,,kiss

  • Whaaaat? Was this vid on the "promoted videos" window? I'm trying to make a new video sometime... I just keep not actually doing it.

  • I use baking soda on my hair myself...but, I have to ask...are you high? It's okay if you are...but, seriously...are you?

  • Interesting question... I don't know why people keep asking me that. LOL I've never used any kind of drug or alcohol in my life.

  • Haha, I guess you just have a natural high...lucky you! lol, but seriously, I do like your tips!

  • Using natural soap is a good idea. However, cleaning our bodies more than once a week is a good idea. Simply showering in plain water can be helpful. Washing our skin help keep pores form being blocked and contaminated.

  • amen!for all who are going natural..or for all who are natural..my family(and their families) have been raised by big company products for years and they still are doing so..I've been trying to inform them on going natural..here in hawaii things are a bit more expensive. slowly but surely they are coming around..they call be the hippie of the family..great vid!!Aloha!

  • I like ur vid but u overact....

  • YOU TAKE ONE SHOWER A WEEK!!!! Eww how dirty...its funny how you natural people dont think you stink...but to the rest of the "Clean" public you guys smell pretty sick...

  • OK OK! You're better than me! Now just relax.

I just don't call it "clean" when peeps douse their bodies in toxic chemicals every day. I think people who live in cities do need to shower more, because it's gross there. But here in the woods everyone smells like flowers. ;)

  • Lol...okay...thats a valid point...but y do you live in the woods??? a little random but to each their own

  • maybe the wood life suits her and her family. her children are lucky to be raised in such a simple lifestyle.

  • SAVE THE TREES :)

  • lol i like your personalty u sound like someone i could get akong with

  • Do you have a recipe for dry hair? Dermatologist told me to buy this Oronazol shampoo and now I have dandruff too! The shampoo was 20$ and it lasted for like 3 days... Somehow I know I should have known better. I'm surprised he didn't say take an aspirin and drink lots of fluids.

  • You have great teeth so I'll listen to you.

  • When I went for a 6 month teeth cleaning, the hygienist said my teeth were already clean!

  • If the directions in this clip are unclear or confusing, please ask your doctor, RV-queen or pharmacist to explain.

    (lol)

    nice clip

  • Educational...

  • good information and interesting products but not very easily acessible or conventient

you look great for not having showered for a week... i hope you smell ok, too!

  • your curls is beautiful, i've tried dr bronners on my hair but it really dried it out and made it frizzy.

  • Comb coconut oil through your hair first and then wash...oils work great on curly/frizzy/dry hair. I put some on my sons straight hair and it was bad. have fun!

  • thanks i'll try it

  • wth? baking soda as tooth paste and deodorant?? :s i dont think id be able to get that green =s..

  • Question, is the thing you rub on your pits also good for sweating or just smelling? Why is the healthy stuff so much more expensive? Makes no sense to me. I hate big name companies and our family is going green all the way! Eat green and live green!

    Great vid! Your bubbly!

  • thanks for the info! but you do seem kind of sarcastic every now and then haha. And you are so crazy! I can't tell if you are hyper or just extrememly tired or delirious haha. you are too fun :)

  • I can't tell what's going on with me either! But this is my honest advice and as silly as I seem every word is true.

  • Great Video. I have a question? If I use the coconut oil as a skin moisturizer will it clog up my pores?

  • Well I haven't had any problems with it, BUT everyone's skin is different! Some people may have problems with it or just not like it. It's been working great for me. I don't put anything else on my skin (no makeup or anything) and just use it when my skin is feeling dry. I use it in my hair about once a week and then wash it out with Bronners. It helps keep my curls intact and my dry skin smooth. Another great choice is olive oil!

  • cool, thankyou!

  • I'm allergic to coconut.. that stuff would KILL me!!

    Cute video though!! =)

  • You poor thing! Maybe some shea butter for you, dear!

    ;)

  • WOO HOO, I do USE something natural!! Shea Butter!!! GO ME! LOL

  • this is one of my favourite videos!

  • cool!

  • Wow!!! I absolutely love your vid. You're too funny, but yet so serious. You're awesome and thanks for sharing this much needed info. I'm not so sure about that LouAna Coconut oil, but everything else is a winner. Keep doin' ya thang, ma!!! :)

  • Wassap with your eyes?

  • umm I don't know what you mean... maybe I was tired.

  • this is SO funny

  • I'm being totally serious in it though... I just can't help myself. ;)

  • good things to know. Thanks RV

  • Rice germ cream moisturizer of J.Angel Rice is choosen to be product showcase of UNDP in 2007.

  • Wonderful theater Rayna.Nothing strange about ya.

  • Wonderful comment, dee. THANK ya.

    :D

  • LOL ok I watched this and I see I do act pretty strange... but it's totally natural for me.

  • lol. 3:24 that's so fun

  • DRUNK?

  • Who?

  • I think he means, you.

  • Rayna,

Thanks for all the great info. I currently use baking soda for cleaning, brushing etc.

The only question I have is: Isn't coconut butter unhealthy (ingesting it) due to saturated fat? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on that.

    Have a great day!

    Tom

  • Hey Tom!

Apparently there are different kinds of saturated fats. The long-chain ones are bad and the short and medium-chain ones (like coconut) are easily digested and turned into energy and can't be stored on the body! I just put some links on it in the info box.

  • Interesting! I'll check it out.

    Thanks,

    Tom

  • Washing anything with baking soda and vinegar is cheap and fun. I think you can even use them to wash your hair but I'm not THAT hippy.

I hate big business and bad chemicals. I also really get annoyed by granolas who insist on using certain products. Many of the natural products are not tested for safety and they can also be products of big business. Rayna...you have such a sweet face, voice, and demeanor...but you make me feel so paranoid! Lemon juice is also fun mixed with baking soda.

  • Thanks for the great tip! Vinegar and Baking soda volcanoes!

I'm not sure how I make you feel paranoid. I'm just having fun with my toothpaste and stuff.

  • Rayna, I sense a bit of sarcasm here. This is one of your videos where you scare me. Don't worry. I'll keep watching you because you fascinate me. I can't figure you out. Are you anti-Earth day? The Bible says we should be good stewarts of the Earth, doesn't it? I have seriously been using baking soda and vinegar to clean the house and I feel much better about doing so. You know I'm a liberal hippy type. I enjoy my lavender and jojoba oil. You've got me babbling. Who are you mocking?

  • Oh no, does it sound like I'm mocking?!!

I'm being completely serious in this video, Laura. This is all I really use. I do want to get some vinegar, too.

  • I have to sleep disorders that I'm being treated for. I'm very sleep deprived--so I'm pretty goofy and my mother says I'm paranoid. Still you do seem quite mischievious.

  • Oh, you are just the best. No! I don't want to smell like mountain fresh chemicals. Thanks for the info on Dr. Bronner. I'm gonna jam right out and get some. I've just been using baking soda, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol & various oils as of late. You couldn't be more timely for me...oh, and 'groovy' as SpicMick (below) so adeptly points out.

  • SWEET You are so smart!

Try different flavors. Get the peppermint Bronner's if you like a good tingle (But don't get that in your eyes!)ENJOY!

  • Awesome! Thanks for the tips :ox

  • ...you are so groovy.

    The Misfit

  • "bacterias pooping on your arm" ... lololol;.. perfect choice for the song at the end!!

  • I take my showers when it is raining. I just run outside with a dab of Dr. Bronners. Just kidding. But what is true is this:

You can refill your Dr. Bronners at the coop.

It is really interesting to learn to make your own soap, but it is kind of scary.

Epson salt baths are also really good.

You managed to bring in so much humor! Makes me what to collaborate.

As far as good advice for cleaning, you really mentioned all the brilliant stuff I can think of. WOW.

    YOU ROCK!

  • Yeah, I think Dr. Bronners just about covers everything! LOL

I wish I could be as funny in 50 seconds like YOU are.
