@JackClassical Real book can't tell you if your playing or holding your guitar the right way, it can cause bad habits later on so your hard work would just be a waste of time. You need a teacher, rocksmith just helps you know where the chords are and stretch your fingers out not to actually play.

@angelkeovixay Hint: Sometimes you need to because you are only supposed to play 1 string instead of 6. (And if you just began guitar, its highly likely that you wont know exactly where every string and note is on your guitar without thinking ((or looking)). Even professional guitarists look at their strings quite a bit, not just where their fingers are ((because they already know the fretboard)) but where they are strumming.)
When you start playing guitar and you don`t have a fucking clue wtf to do, this game will make you do atleast something, might not teach music theory, but atleast you`ll be able to pluck the strings well xD
@adzenok Yeah, I read reviews that point out this weakness in the game: they don't seem to teach you the right posture and handling of the instrument and pick... Other than that, it seems to be pretty good. Can't wait for it to come out on PC.

@LFCAgger Yeah i noticed that too, he was clenching his fist but the more he plays this game the better his strumming/picking will get and he will be less tense holding the plec and find a more natural way of holding it. Give the guy mad credit though, he never played a guitar and on the 4th day he was able to maintain a moderate picking speed on the string. That's something i couldn't do until way later because i didn't have a game like this to keep me motivated.

@Pepper6464 Really? For one, he's not ghetto and not all black people like rap to begin with. Yes guitars are real instruments, and so are turntables. It's just a matter of how you use it. You DO buy them at the same place you would pick up a guitar or drumkit! Music is an art form and should be treated such. There are extremely talented guys jammin' out on 5 gallon buckets and coffee cans in downtown cities. To those people, those are now instruments.

@eVoxlilbigslash spoken like a true ignorant fuck. scales that are utilized in cannibal corpse include, minor, harmonic minor, melodic minor, chromatic and even sometimes major scales when it fits. i dont know who brian setzer is and i dont want to, probably some scene hipster you worship for his ability to pedal point a major scale riff at 100 bpm. @LFCAgger Yeah i noticed that too, he was clenching his fist but the more he plays this game the better his strumming/picking will get and he will be less tense holding the plec and find a more natural way of holding it. Give the guy mad credit though, he never played a guitar and on the 4th day he was able to maintain a moderate picking speed on the string. That's something i couldn't do until way later because i didn't have a game like this to keep me motivated.
