@p00nji Blues in Raid0 work perfectly fine and the Greens are for Torrents and Media files. Nothing that needs a fast drive.

@urmomisfineinbed It's all parts bought separately and put together in the end. The PSU has performed perfectly for over a year now. No complaints whatsoever.

Are the lights necessary? I'm not so good with computers...and they clearly aren't but I may be wrong. And how does water cooling work? Does it just cool down the air or does it make contact with the CPU?

@moviesunrated No the lights are just for looks, nothing more. Water cooling works just like in a car. You have the liquid in the system, the water pump to move the water in the loop, and a radiator to cool down the water. The CPU water block is what makes contact with the CPU. The water runs through the Water Block cooling the CPU then runs through the Radiator to cool the water again before going to the CPU again. It's just one simple loop.

@MrDikaios Last time I checked it kept the i7 920 stock clock speeds at 28 idle and 37 max stress. I upgraded to a different case and 360 rad now. I just need to update with new video lol.

Nice rig man, but watch out for your feser a lot of my friends and myself have had problems with that coolant it get clumpy in ur system real quick I would make sure to do a clean up soon to check the quality of the coolant and check your block for gunk. I have problems too in my rad with the stuff (all copper loop)

Thanks. I believe it was around $240 shipped because I ordered it different colors. Original clear is much cheaper. But I changed case now and will probably do a update video on the new rig.

It was about $2k with the water cooling included. It took me about 3 days to finish everything because I had to deal with the water cooling and leak testing.

I got a fan for the HDDs, then 2 fans for the GPUs, and 4 fans for the Radiator keeping the CPU cold.

The board is great. I highly recommend it and it is also good for OCing if that's what you like. Also has great warranty and EVGA has great customer service.

i had the q 6600 and it bottleneck my gpu so you went with a perfect choice. i had the q6600 and scoreed stock in 3dmark 12875 with one gtx 260 when i got the i7 920 with the same spec just change the motherboard and ram and cpu i got 15460 so yeah you made a great choice

If you can get your hands on a second monitor you're world will be SO much nicer. If you're an artist ( I assume that you are ) you'll find a HUGE advantage to dual monitors.
