  • "SERIAL KILLER" FUN FACTS: Was shot in 3 weeks for $200K. Director Garza's mother catered, daily serving delicious Mexican food to all the cast & crew. Zamora spent the "chase scene" day running & vomiting as he was slightly hungover. The LAPD officers in the film were real LAPD officers. The hot-tub scene took one night to shoot & the guys all had "pruney" skin the next day. Franco & Zamora both once acted in a beer commercial. Greg Cruz only looks scary -- he's a very nice person.

  • The plot: Bobby (CRIS FRANCO) is unpleasantly surprised when old friend Leroy (DEL ZAMORA) crash lands back into his life brining along with him his crazy buddy, Pinky (VALENTE RODRIGUEZ). Guided by Leroy's semi-psychic gifts, the three -- along with Bobby's girlfriend (STEPHANIE RICHARD) and his mother (RENNE VICTOR) -- bring their East LA community together to capture serial killer, Satan's Hand (GREGORY CRUZ). Very loosely based on the true case of The Night Stalker, RICHARD RAMIREZ.

  • This are clips from NEVER TRUST A SERIAL KILLER a comedy-thriller written by DANIEL VILLARREAL & JUAN GARZA, directed by JUAN GARZA. It won numerous indy film accolades. It stars: DEL ZAMORA, CRIS FRANCO, VALENTE RODRIGUEZ, STEPHANIE RICHARDS, RENEE VICTOR, GREGORY CRUZ & YELYNA DeLEON. Producers: JIM VELARDE, LORENZO O'BRIEN, GARZA & VILLARREAL; cinematographer: CHRISTOPHER BERNAL; casting: ROSALINDA MORALES; production design: STEVE LA PONSIE; sound: NICK PECK; editor KELLE DIXON. Funny!

  • Fun, fun, fun. Would like to see more of this movie. Anyone know where I can find it? Or what the name of the movie is? Del Zamora has a lot of credits on imdb, and I cannot figure out which movie this is.

  • Latinos rarely get the opportunity to portray lead characters on screen. Even when the lead character is Latino, the role will inevitably be played by an Anglo. Hollywood doesn't believe audiences will pay to see Latinos in lead roles, even when the stories are Latino. Much like African-Americans being denied the opportunity to play major league baseball; Hollywood continues to lack faith in Latino's box office power/potential. The belief is that mainstream audiences will reject Latinos as leads
