You're totally right! You have to use everything you can find to make a desired effect. Latex and Silicone don't always cut the grade to achieve certain effects. How do you thing Tom Savini started out. Certain plastic fibres can be torched and applied with certain gums and then built around!

High end formulas are great - but not always necessary unless you have an extended budget. But never give too much away!
