BDCP is great, I was selected back in October to be a pilot upon graduation. The salary they give you is wayyy more than a part time job will ever pay imo.
No exactly, that's a huffer. On the 45 your batteries start the GTS (think of it as a small generator) once it's up to speed you have it engage your ATS (air turbine starter) which spins up your comp/turb blades to get airflow going. There aren't any systems that need enough power the batteries can't handle while the motors shut down. No tv or microwave. :) Just lights and comm really.
how soon did you apply for OCS before you graduated college? ? ? my plan is to do what you have done sir. maybe well fly one day. im a sophmore in college now. let me know
Start now!! I got selected November of my sophomore year. There is a program called BDCP that pays you as an E-3 while you are in college. You have to be two years away from graduation, have a solid GPA and flawless record. Do a google search for Navy BDCP to find info. Search Airwarriors too (don't think I can put up the URL. Airwarriors was my best resource while applying. Fell free to message me if you have any questions.

The rhythm of the music is equal the aerial acrobatics...it stars slow and it goes increasing until reaching top!!!
