is this a good thing to do? i was using mcafee internet security 2009 and then my subscription ended. i m now using norton internet security 2009, was that a bad move or a good move?
ok then... from my point of view, i believe that norton internet security 2009 is very light. Why? its because i used it then upgraded to the 2010 version. Its so light on system resources though.
really? norton and AVG dont go together? where did you hear that? Norton internet security 2010 has this feature call norton site safety- it places a safety rating on each link you press in google. Its like mcafee site advisor.
I downloaded avg link scanner for extra protection. You tell me what you think
i havent experienced any problems. The AVG linkscanner isnt really an antivirus software. It said that you could use it with other anti virus software. But you are right, never use two anti virus software on a computer
i just had mcafee and when i saw this video i quickly uninstalled mcafee and installed microsft security extancials its better i wasted $90 bucks for no protection
Doubt it since every sit I've checked, AV software like Avira, Avast, and Kaspersky are always top ranked. Norton is always below them and no mention ever of G-Data.
I don't know which sites you've been looking at then. Do you follow this youtube channel? If you do then I don't see why there is a disagreement between us.
i use mcafee antivirus with fire wall, but mcafee firewall is dissabled becouse i use lavasoft firewall instead, other progs with lavasoft and mcafee is Ad-Aware anniversary pro (that also have build in ad-watch live in it), then i have lavasoft registry tuner that have helped on computer performans.
once a virus has installed in ur pc if u get the virus protection after it will normaly not find the virus that has been in for ages, it has embeded in ur pc to deeply to be removed so get virus protection for ur pc the day you buy it so then you will be all right :-)
I have McAfee, dont get it get something like bull guard or kaspersky
my mate has bull guard and his pc is 1year+6months
A little test conducted showed that McAfee was unable to detect both Bat.NewHost and Trojan-Clicker(dot)CM, both of which were detected by BitDefender though.
And i think i may have a virus.cause i get an error report everytime i loggin With dr Watson debugger which dose not co-exsist on my computer And i go This website called aden2 something something, But blocks it.:S
honestly my acafee is really good.. i really like it but i guess its just your opinion.. i know for a fact its better than norton.. that security freaking sucks
oh wow i do apresiate u have this video omg lol i just installed the dammed mcafee no just took forever to install i have a trojan and adware im still installing hope helps a little but after ur review omg good thing i didnt paid for it
Well you do know 2 malware programs lead to 35and then 89 and then 200. many antiviruses don't do a good job at preventing like mcafee and avg. avast does an ok job at preventing but avira is awsome in both prevention and removing. Also mcafee came with a free trial on my computer and I thought it sucked. I wonder why my isp mentions you get mcafee for free if you sign up for their isp. Is macafee realy that desperate. Avg and avast are more popular than mcafee and I don't see thier adds on tv.
hate to call you out on this after the re review of nod32 . but honestly i think that it was getting rid of everything and when you said it froze i think if you would have gave it 5 or 6 mins it would have cleaned the infections i think by just turning it off . you stoped it from cleaning and left the infections. ive used mcafee in the past . and I know it hsould have cleaned the rogue stuff . no offence mrizos
i saw that when you had those sites open the mcafee site advisor was coated green meaning the sites are safe ... i guess those sites dont contain malware but they are websites thrown up by adaware
Thanks for doing this! How about reviewing: Twister antivirus, Spysweeper with antivirus, Drivesentry, or Online Armor with antivirus? These are all highly rated.
mcafee rocks! i love it!

if you have more than one real time antivirus protection then its a risk.
if you have two firewallls its a risk (they;ll own each other and windows will never restart)

ok you say it does nto work very well but i think you out to do these reviews you otta just have at leat 2 malware programs instead of like 100!!

it might be better at preventing stuff from being installed and not removing it
i have mcafee and i dont have any problems
i also run threatfire 3.5 and windows defender and they have never warned me about anything bad
i wonder how you get so much crud on your computer
tell me what you think about my setup
i might also run avast home- do you think it will use too much cpu and ram?
thanks
bestSVMS 3 years ago
You should only ever use 1 real-time virus scanner.
mrizos 3 years ago
windows defender is anti spyware
i have heard that you should run multible antispyware
and based on your review that mcafee sucks
i need to run more that 1
threatfire was desinged to be run with other programs
and avast does not have real time scanner

yes it does

r u an idiot running more than 1 is a security risk

rofl? YOU are an idiot, MalwareBytes and SUPERAntiSpyware doesn't conflict, Comodo is a firewall, and Avira is an antivirus.
