I know it sucks watching this but I kinda like the fact that Fed's career hasn't all been easy. It's easy to say he would've had 7 straight but if he wins here who's to say he beats Roddick in 2009. Everybody knows Roddick bricked a volley for a 2 set lead. It's just the way things go. Just be thankful he got the FO 09.
Yep. On break points or semi-break points (Love-30/15-30) Nadal loves to go to the body serve and then unleash a big inside-out forehand. I wish Fed would've known that at this time... He would've won 7 straight counting 2009 against Roddick.
@dwilliams02 yeh but the problem is he does it so rarely you can't plan for it or you're leaving the standard backhand serve open. on nadals last championship point he went for the safe option, feds backhand. so you just never know when nadals going to pull out one of his tricks
this is the point that haunts me. and i just knew nadal would body serve on the following break point, surprisingly go all out to feds forehand... and survive this virtual match point for federer :(
Yea tennis is so close sometimes, it's amazing.. but i think it hasn't been that bad that he lost this amazing final, it has lifted his popularity somehow.
that was perRFction

If only the game hadn't been slowed down on grass, il would have been much more difficult for Nadal...

after that, Nadal took an hour to hit the next serve. broke the rythm of the game.
i want so bad, federer had won that next point...

So glad Fed redeemed himself in 2009 with the 16 14 5th set versus Roddick but this match was a heartbreaker. Damnit Roger you could have broken.
