  • very good video. i liked

  • its very good video

  • What Is The Name Of The Machine They Use For Reed Tuning???

  • Nice...

  • nicevideo

  • Master Tuner !!! i like that part :)

  • Why Weltmeister doesn't make the supita 1 and cantora models anymore?

  • i want at least the one accordion - I to envy herewith , who working there. I would like too

  • Welcome to heaven, here's your harp.

Welcome to hell, this is our accordion factory.

  • Accordions are one of my 4 favorite instruments.

  • i love accordions.. :D

  • I believe these are budget-priced instruments (well I'd say compared to Italian boxes, everything else is 'budget') but with solid european quality-control and know-how. They seem to source some of their components (like reeds) from the great Czech accordion maker, Delicia.

  • @pierstheoneandonly Not exactly...the reeds often come from Italia but hey who can tell nowadays right ?.

Weltmeister is a german company from the early years. The quality as you describe is not completely valid either as for example the Weltmeister Cantus Deluxe V is a top quality instrument who can overclass many italian accordions.. They do focus on a lower budget market too so I'd say where Italian accordions are more for the experienced player these are also focussed on beginners. cheers

  • plastic accordion for plastic sound

  • Very interesting video

    I appreciate so much it

  • I love my Weltmeister! Now i have seen where she was made! cheers auclan.

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • Nice video! Weltmeister handmaking methods show how difficult is accordeon making:-)5*****.

  • They make acordions here since 1852. Yes, the Italian came later. I have one which is 50n years old and still absolutely intact. Their site: w w w

akkordeon-klingenthalDOTde (substitute DOT with a dot)

  • whats the paper that cover it 0.57. when its the process

  • it's celluloid. it becomes soft and elastic when soaked in acetone.

  • absolutely fascinating. Thanks for showing this.

  • You reminded me of my own trip to Klingenthal, on the little single-track railway through the forest...

  • Please, can anyone tell me the link to Weltmeister's Germany home web page???. I want to viwe their various diatonic models and ask them specific questions.

    Thanks!

    Mario

  • I recently purchased a used Weltmeister Stella model with 34 keys and 48 basses. I 'm told that it is about 15 years old. I don't know where the reeds on the left side came from but they are better than anything i've heard including hand made Italian accordions. This little accordion has a sweet sound and I will not part with it.

  • i actually own a Weltmeister myself ^^ now im kind of proud i live in germany xD

  • Weltmeisters are made in East Germany (not China) in a city named Klingenthal. I'm told Weltmeister is the oldest continuously running accordion company (accordions were made in Germany before Italy). The reeds come from Italian companies in the more expensive models. Kimric Smythe who took the footage here, could tell you more as he's dealt with the company for years.

  • You're right, Weltmeisters are not made in China.

I owned one of these 4 reeds 120 bass piano accordion made by E. Germany. The bass reeds blocks, believe me, are made by plastic, rather than wood.

China makes much much better accordions these days.

  • While the Chinese have improved the quality or their accordions , they are still rather bulky and unresponsive ,compared to anything made in Europe. But them again they are very inexpensive. You get what you pay for. Weltmeister as I understand it ,is a company formed from the best elements of a couple of factories in Klingenthal after unification. The reed blocks on the smaller Stradella bass instruments are molded plastic,(72 bass and smaller) this helps keep the weight and cost down.

  • Is Weltmeister also manufactured in China? I know Hohner Amica IV are made in China. Weltmeister was a former east Germany factory

  • Not paper, it is celluloid (Cellulose Acetate)

  • the paper put on of wood

    WHAT THIS? WHICH THE NAME?

  • Thanks, really appreciated it !

  • Weltmeister builds very good accordions. Thanks for posting video..

  • it has my most favorite sound :)

  • This is a very informative and interesting video, I want to know MORE!!!

  • Hi, thanks for the video. Please you know which kind of glue their use for fix the celluloid?

  • CHINGON

  • Very good video! I've stopped into Smythe's sporadically over the past couple of years and love the selection.

  • Very nice, now i know how my Accordion was made. thanks]

  • Very interesting. Hope yr film will be completed soon, I'd love to see it. Accordions Anonymous (a group I'm a member of) occasionally performs TDA's song Behind the Bellows; if fact, we did it when we shared a bill with them in 2005.

  • Weltmeister accordions - the Best Price/Quality Ratio around. And GREAT SOUND!

  • Great to see the Weltmeister factory!! I have a Weltmeister Monte :D

  • Wow, now I now how it's my Weltmeister accordion made :)
