this is so cool! i saw it on the website. i dont understand your tutorial on making the helmet at all. the result looks great although the jaw is a little on the big side. heck its awesome though!
@Bracerjack Well i have pretty much gotten to grips with it now, do you think you could do a video version of your iron man tutorial? because i really wanna have a go at this and im not sure which tools to use
This is due to the fact that the model started out life in High Poly, and i use a auto degeneration program to decrease the number of polys for the 3D model.
Due to it being an automated process, without me going in and fixing it, the N-Gon shows itself as black holes that pop up every now and then.
This is remarkable!! I LOVE the LCARS interface...it has remained one of my favorite forms of computer interface for as long as i can remember...even if it hasn't really existed outside of the star trek-'verse...lol. What you have accomplished here is nothing short of INCREDIBLE...augmented reality through the use of a webcam...simple technology that almost everyone has at there disposal!
Very cool but you need to update the refresh-rate (cam & effect) and add some dampening into it.
Otherwise, this is quite remarkably awesome.
If you could find a way to do this in realtime and display it on something portable or even on a helmet mounted display system, you're really in business.
Crap, I want to be in your class

I don't teach anymore.
I am now just a sad lonely guy doing freelance.
I might not have much to offer in areas of education now but I could use a company.
If I ever go for a trip to your country we could have Tea :)

@SirWillig
It's doesn't matter, edge modeling is a concept native to a lot of modeling programs.
Bracerjack 9 months ago
@Bracerjack okay then.
SirWillig 9 months ago
@Bracerjack oh okay, is there any other way?
SirWillig 9 months ago
@SirWillig
There are many ways to go about modeling, but I almost ALWAYS fall back on edge modeling.
Bracerjack 9 months ago
@Bracerjack okay, il keep trying. i have started using schematics to see if that helps

any way to fix those polys that annoyingly dissapear, kinda ruins the effect :P
jubjub250 1 year ago
@jubjub250
The only way would be to model from scratch, a low poly version of the Helmet.
I have better things to do, like watch the Big Bang Theory ;p Haaaaaaaaa
