Saw this show also! Second concert I had ever been to. Couldn't beet the price either, 13.50 for field tix!! Don't know what happened to the openimg act St. Paradise. Think it was Derek St. Holmes' band. The bast thing was though is that I couldn't hear for 3 days afterward cause Nugent was so incredibally loud!!! Thanks for posting this vid!!
@chefrollo1 haha I actually like THE CULT but come on ! I agree . There is no comparison . AC/DC at a stadium near you, The Cult lucky to sell out a night club
Hell yes this was my first concert AWESOME!!!! Does anyone else remember Steven Tyler so fucked up he couldn't remember his own lyrics and tripping over a bong on stage every other song! And Ted Nugent in a loin cloth swinging in on a vine and throwing "rocks" into the crowd
Exactly! I was there as well. Aerosmith was disappointing, adn AC/DC stole the show. Nugent swung onto the stage and threw around a bunch of big fake rocks to start off his set.
I went to a lot of the DOG shows and saw AC/DC steal the show three times in 78 and '79. Bon was incredible, and Angus was doing his usual stunts; mooning the crowd after his strip tease, and running around the Coliseum, riding on someone's back, spinning around on the stage floor... Bill G. knew how to stage talent.
@FreeMTrider yes but travelling on speedballs and coco-puffs doesn't necessarily detract from performance, in my opinion - lots of energy onstage anyway (what was the coroner's verdict for Bon, do you know? I thought he died of alcohol poisoning and exhaustion.
@SmileyGarrish by this point Aerosmith was working on years of abuse. Speed and the rest of that stuff will burn you out after just a few days and then it's a zombie kind of high effect of uncoordinated haze. The comedown. If more is taken you become a wired zombie. It's like running on fumes. I've seen it happen to the best and experienced about a year of it in my younger days.
Bon actually passed out in his car drunk and froze to death. Yes, pretty much alcohol poisoning.
@FreeMTrider how does one freeze to death in London I might ask? Wet t-shirt low blood sugar diminishing pulse poor breathing......We never hear about 'Rock Star Dies Smoking too Much Herb?' The Law must change.
I was there too, but sitting in the bleachers! And ACDC stole the show! Aerosmith was my main reason for going, but they sucked pretty bad and I know why now! But big disappointment back then.

@rodcarew1 Let me guess Aerosmith was so drunk as to be incoherent and out of tune?
SmileyGarrish 3 weeks ago
@SmileyGarrish drunk was the least of it. They looked like they had been up for a week. Lot of blow and heroin during those days.
