I wouldn't do it! They wanted us to kill frogs to dissect in biology. I didn't go to class that day. I was told I would get an F, I said fine. Don't kill her! She is so AWESOME. The mountain sounds so glorious. Have to do the Dew! Good luck with your mantis babies. Blessed Be
@Tanyia48 Oh I definitely would never kill her!! She only will live a few more weeks on her own, so I'm fully planning on letting her live them out. I can't wait to raise her babies!! My parents are so excited since they had been taking care of her before me; My dad wants one of the babies when they hatch in the spring, and he wants some to release in the garden as well! =)
I would totally not kill a lot of the insects to pin in the collection if it wasn't such a huge part of my grade...
@Tanyia48 WOAH WAIT, they wanted you to KILL the frogs yourself?!? Usually in Bio they're already dead! D: (Er, in my bio classes we never even did frogs. Worst was a small pig in general bio in college. I couldn't bear that AT ALL.)
@owlsandankhs Yes, they brought in all these live frogs and wanted us to chloroform them. That way we could see the parts working inside. We also use to get the animals from the zoo that had passed on. Biology was one of my hated classes. Not to mention when we went to the chicken farm they wanted us to debeak chicks. Didn't do that either. Bad High School memories :( But I stood my ground. Blessed Be
@Tanyia48 Oh my gosh! Thais is absolutely HORRIBLE. It's one thing when they are already dead, but to make you VIVISECT them? No. No. I draw that line... ugh. I'm sorry you had to go through that! So proud of you for standing your ground! Blessings! ♥
@owlsandankhs It made me a stronger person and I fight for animals rights. Where as if I hadn't gone through that, I might not fight as hard as I do. So I guess it worked out for the best. Sometimes we have to see the bad in order to do good. Blessed Be
