This anime has portrayed that Sawako is probably not one of those girls in other shoujo. She is WAY different. Even if she isn't my type of character she is one of the best I came a across. She didn't deny her love for Kazehaya. I don't think I see any female protagonist in a shoujo who is quite like her yet.
