  • Think about cleaning the feces off the your table when your handling the skinned carcass.

  • Then stick to chicken legs and flog it off as KFC

  • Yeah, this is a great video for learning how to clean a rabbit. I'm going to look and see if I can't find a video on tanning the pelts.

  • Wow, this guy is good! Is that a wild rabbit?

  • Wow, this guy is good!

  • thanxs this has been good help

  • Well done!

  • Hes the man .......................i wonder why when my mum cooked rabbit it was bitter probably did not soak overnight in saltwater ...............must go and get me a rabbit thanks for sharing

  • This gentleman is exceptionally good at quick field dressings and professionalism. Top marks on this vid.

  • can you recomend a recipie for rabbit pie please living off the land is good thanks

  • @shanondor Delia Smith has an excellent recipe for rabbit pie with prunes on her website which is easy to find.

  • Legs, easy off. WHAM! Like that.

  • Good video. Might be trying this on a hare tommorow. Does the same method apply to skinning a hare?

  • yes, but you dont have to salt it

  • Mmmmmm! fried rabbit! Great food! Mark, great job buddy!

  • Your mom was pretty sick last night. BURN!

  • non mature people are weak people, anger is a sign of weakness, grow up!

  • How am I not mature? Mature people can insult lunatic vegans too. Also, anger can be a strength if used right. But who said I was getting angry?

  • anger is a sign of weakness and insulting me in your other remark,

A person going on vacation hopes for good weather and a farmer hopes for rain, this was taught in my art.

  • he fucked up on the tail. you cut 2 slits on eather side of the tail and pull the tail.

  • that is not the quickest way, i do over 150 rabbits a week,

  • How powerful an air rifle do you need for rabbits?

  • use a shotgun, the bigger the better

  • xD Unfortunately I don't have a shotgun :/

  • That'ts too bad. If you use a big shotgun you can kill it and joint it out all at once just with the pull of a trigger

  • you shoot it in the head with a 22 so the guts and shit does not fuck up the meat. Also would you like to eat BB's.

  • gdit, its pretty obvious that i was kidding

  • I've been hunting with a 700fps .177. The key is to get a good clean headshot so it's quick without pellets in your meat.

  • great thanks, now to find some rabbits :D

  • it seems like you say

"like that" every 5 seconds xD

    but, nice information. five stars(:

  • its hilarious at 1:13 the legs just fly off

  • This is kind of gross. Wouldn't it be better to just buy meat from a supermarket and not be such a tight arse tramp?

  • like it makes a difference? how do u think the meat got the the supermarket? hmm?

  • Well you don't have to squeeze piss out all over your kitchen table!

  • well yaa, but hes not in a kitchennn, iunno where he is lol but if ur in a kitchen of course ur not gunna squeeze it out in there

  • While they're at it the may aswell cook the head and brains it might be nice lol.

  • No it wouldn't be better to buy meat from a supermarket actually. God knows what kinds of hormones and toxic crap they feed those rabbits.

If you shoot your own rabbits your food will be quite healthy. Also if you grow your own vegetables. Not many people have the time and money to do that, but those who can are very fortunate.

  • u no wat this video is a life saver. its gunna save my bum cheeks tomorrow night

  • WTF first this ass hole eats pigeons NOW RABBITS shame on him

  • rofl yeah eating food is BAD

  • Awesome Video. I just went out and shot one in the yard and then followed your procedure. Works perfect. I read a post somewhere talking about shooting female rabbits that are pregnant. So if i keep this up its only a matter of time before I have to rip a rabbit fetus out of its mothers belly? Thats gonna be weird.

  • can u take the kidneys out and also can u do anything with the pelt

  • Yeah you can do anything with the pelt. Look up 'tanning rabbit hides' or 'drying rabbit hides'.

It would be a waste to kill an animal for food then not use it's skin or food. Most rabbit fur comes from countries that consume large amounts of rabbit meat like spain. That is why most rabbit fur is either white or dyed, most meat rabbits are white.

  • wtf ?

  • da rabbit is not fresh!

  • 1 day old, in the fridge, no older look at the eyes and the colour of the flesh around the guts

  • well i havent skinned any yet but im planning to get one tomorrow so i think this would be a good suprise thanks for the video

  • cool, show a video on ow to get shotgun pellets out of a rabbit, that would be great Thanks

  • if you poach the meat the pellets will fall out when you pick teh meat off the bone

  • not trying to be a smart ass, but if you want to shoot rabbits for the meat use a .22. as long as it is repeating or self repeating you should become a good shot with practice.

  • Can I have the rabbits foot?

  • That is the worst skinning i have ever seem, he completly ruins the pelt and wastes a heap of meat.

  • Please explain

  • thanks 4 this vid ive been wantin to know different ways to skin small game and this has helped alot. i love to keep the skin.

  • I love this guy! I could clean a rabbit in 4 minutes after watching this dude.

  • i prefer soaking the rabbit in a fistfull of salt and the blood of newborn kittens... LoL kittens...

  • Do you think slaughtering a cow or deer or pigs or chickens or doves or turkeys is wrong! Well you shouldn't this is how we get food

  • i like this video very informative, but i was always told by my dad not to shoot milky doe's for moral reasons, I.E little rabbits left down the hole to starve, is it purely personal choice, don't get me wrong i don't have a problem with shooting game i do it all the time and enjoy the meat. just like to know.

  • JESUS CHRIST DUDE

  • Save the legs for cat treats!

  • This is by far the most professional rabbit preparation video I have ever seen. Homemade field dressing rabbit videos are pretty good, but this guy is a pro at it. If you guys think this video is gory, take a look at other rabbit dressing videos.

  • can i bbq one of them bad boys

  • Cheers for that, do need to worry about where the rabbit comes from is one from over the local fields ok or will i catch some sort of flesh eating disease from it? tesco food is getting expensive time to get from somewhere else

  • nothing to worry about re rabbit, cleaner than any other meat

  • I have my air rifle now i need a cleaver. Very good thanks James

  • Also, it may be worth mentioning, that alot of female rabbits are pregnant when skinning. It's not uncommon to find a litter of about 6 feotuses in a the womb. I wasn't expecting that and it came as a bit of a shock.

  • The first time I ever tried this, I was teaching it!

This isn't the way I did it. ...I had a penknife, not a nice sharp meat cleaver! haha

  • As a young child one of the things we had the privilege of doing was rabbit hunting and good meals from the kills of the day. I didn't remember exactly how my grandfather use to skin and dress the rabbits but I do remember it was very quick. thanks to you, now I remember!! Thanks for the tips on cooking and storing the meat. Times will get tough in the US and have rabbits all over the place where I live. Dinner anyone!!

  • You better not've just thrown that pelt away, mister!

  • is it ok to cook with the kidneys in

  • Did the heart liver and lungs come out during guttin?

  • Good video. A bit gory, but fascinating anyway.

    5/5

  • when u gutted it did u get heart and lungs and liver out???

  • best vid on rabbit i've seen. THX

  • Oh thank you very much i needed to now. :-) Thank you oh and yes nice vid.

  • very good vid know what he's talking about. and in regards to WILL MY .22 RIFLE BLOW OFF A RABBITS HEAD,no it wont .22 rifle is an ideal rifle for rabbit shootin.

    happy huntin :-)

  • Would it be ok to shoot a rabbit with a 22 rifle? Or will it blow off the head some one please tell me.

  • no it wont should do a clean shot to the head cause then you dont have to worry taken the pellet out the meat cause u cut head off any way

  • Would it be ok to shoot a rabbit with a 22. rifle or will it blow off the head? please tell me

  • rabbit is delicious ive tried it twice but now i can skinn and cook my own thanks to this vid now i have a reason to pick up my air rifle yey!

  • what fps is your air rifel??? i was wandering if i can use my airsoft rifel which is 350 fps do i need metal pellets for it or can i use plastic???

  • fuck no ! use a fucking rifle dick

  • shut up arse

  • retard use a lead pellet gun more than 1000 fps

  • actuly iv bin lookin at air rifels its got to be 700-750+ with metal pellets gay

  • Give some reasons for that poor comment please! I think you meant to say a .22 long rifle. Not a lead pellet gun! A good air rifle will get the rabbit just the same by the way, you may just have to get a bit closer to them! What make of lead pellet gun do you use out of interest?

  • no a .22 pellet gun i use a beeman

  • Legs... easy off.. like that.. lol! I love Brits.

  • dude how can u be arrested? thats legal.

  • Thank you so much for making this

  • Very good video and very informative - thanks for making and posting it!

  • LOOL

  • thanks fo the vid man now all u need to know is hot to make a snare or i assume or hope if u get stranded in the wild u can make a good shoe string slip knot and then u will have a way to survive :)

  • I'm sure that you eat chickens....have you ever been to a poultry plant...come on. Rabbits are pests that can be eaten. Problem is rabbits are "cute" so people get upset about it. Go to a poultry plant someday and see how those chickens are treated and you too will eat rabbit over chicken.

  • Arrested? For eating?

Humans evolved to be omnivores, meaning we eat plants AND animals. Rabbit is an edible animal.

  • and a very tasty one!! :P

  • Fantastic video! I shot a rabbit in our garden this afternoon and did excactley what he said and it was very easy. Rabbit is on the menu for tomorrow! :)

  • Thanks for posting this, very informative.

  • What a great video. Many thanks. I shoot and cook rabbit, but you have proved to me why my rabbit recipes are so tough.

  • Thank you some much. Done respectfuly and clean can't wait for more videos. (Hertford)

  • Thanks - proper job! look forward to more of your videos
